  • Induction: May 1st - 14th

    Hello all ADBB Members!

    I am so amped to start the Induction Phase and become successful with the help of this site. My plan is to start on Monday, May 1st and conclude Induction Sunday, May 14th. On the 14th Day, I will decide whether to continue Induction or move to Phase II.

    1. Exercise at least 45 minutes a day 4 times a week
    2. Drink 80 ounces of water a day.
    3. Have my last meal everyday by 7 PM.

    OMG - I just told YOU about this post after seeing this on the new post list and reading your OTHER post! I'm IN!

    "Hey - just noticed there's a May 1-14 Induction Challenge just posted! I'm a tortoise-rate loser, so will probably do it, too; after I'm done with DesertStorm's repeated 2-wk challenge I could use a short break with some variety before reinduction."

    but regained ~20# in '07 in less than 3 weeks! And again early '08 ...Was in HEAVEN -got to 150, for awhile, then got too busy, and gave in too much... and... OK holding pattern "keep it together..."

    .................OMG how did I fail AGAIN

      Count me in too.... I was just dreading over my failure. But it's time to get back on . Summer is coming fast and I DO NOT want to hide my hoho's under a sweater in 110 degree weather! So come May 1st I vow to start a new. Da*n the induction flu and fatigue but I have to get through it! 130lbs here I come!!!

        Sounds good! Look at my things to do list:

        1. Take measurements on Sunday and record on Fitday
        2. Complete my meal plan on Saturday and share with board.
        3. Go shopping Saturday or Sunday for items needed.
        4. Start preparing some foods on Saturday..cut veggies for salad!
        5. Think about my exercise plan for the week.

          Hello Narose, Susan and Sourpuff

          Well I'm back to Adkins after having a major slip. I was on Adkins for almost 4 years and went from 230 - 130 and now I'm 189. So, I really need this challenge to set me back on track. I'm looking forward to going through the 14 days with everyone. Thanks Susan for telling me about it!

            Count me in too narose. Today is day 14 of my "original" induction but I've already decided to extend it...this challenege will help me stick to it for another 2 weeks at least!

            1st Week Induction Done - Began January 8, 2007

            2nd Week Induction Goal - Closely monitor water intake, remember to contact doctor for appointment for self and daughter for early March

              I'm back! Really enjoyed being off induction for 3 days. I was VERY busy this weekend, so am pretty sure I stayed in ketosis despite having OWL-list items during that time. Got TOM to start this induction off, unfortunately, so am disregarding the tape/scales until later. I hope all my working out will pay me back with bigger losses this induction!

                I am glad to see you all ready to take the challenge with me. Well I took my measurements this morning...Atkins here I come.

                My meal plan for today is as follows:

                Breakfast - Mock Cheese Danish (3.9 carbs)
                Lunch - Salad with Grilled Chicken and ranch dressing
                Snack - 6 grilled shrimp (made last night)
                Dinner - Baked Chicken Wings, Broccoli and cheese and salad

                I plan to drink a bottle water everytime I have a meal. This morning I took the Basic 3 vitamin, Essential Oils and Dieter's Advantage.

                  Hi Judy and welcome to the induction Challenge. I've been looking for everyone the last couple of days, hopefully they'll pop in today. I'm on day 4 of induction and I'm really excited about being here for the next 14 days with a support team. Congratulations on being on day 14 of your original induction. I have set a few mini goals for myself, they are:

                  Cher's Mini-Goals:
                  increase water intake to 100 0unces a day
                  lose 10 pounds by June 30th
                  Pilates 3 times a week (with exercise instructor)
                  Perfectly Clean induction period

                        Ugh! Got to warn you - bought some powdered bouillon recently thinking it will be nice to not have to wail for a cube to melt; wouldn't you know it has SUGAR in it! Back to the store this evening...
                        Sweet cher - you've got a good plan with the water. I'm going to try putting water more before I eat than after, so I'll feel full faster.

                          Hi Susan- I'm so glad you're here. Let's encourage each other to drink the water. I'm really bad about that. I think every time I sit down to write at the computer, I'll just grab a bottle water and try to drink it. Hopefully that'll help me to reach my goal.
