    Good Morning Everyone,

    Water, water, water, water, water Big Goal

    The scale has settled at 175.4... that silly scale. It's not going to win this battle! I see myself in the 160's! It's coming soon! The scale is just v-e-r-y S-l-o-w !!!!!

    Silly... we finally got your rain last night and this morning but it's really pretty again this morning. The sun is finally peeking out again.

    Bjs, I'm with you on that 2 - 3 pound weight loss goal

    Hi Kitty & Treyani - Wow what a reminder... it's only one week. We all still have a long time to reach our goals here. Of course your welcome to try with us. We would love to have you join. Just jump in. Take your stats and post them here or in your journal, whichever makes you feel most comfortable. All we can do, is do our best by Fathers day... and, we're all doing that! There's a great group here! Welcome!

    Treyani sweetheart. I looked at your stats last night and I think you said you're 13. Is that correct? If so, I don't want your mom or doctor upset with us for supporting you on this way of eating. Are they aware that you are following the plan?

      Thank you for the welcome! I'll be taking a before pic today.

      My stats are as follows:

      22/F
      5'8"
      173 lbs as of this morning

      I try to get in 30 minutes of cardio per day/ at least 10 minutes on a treadmill and 20+ running & dancing. Weight training every other day, and as for diet, I follow Atkins closely, of course.

      It'd be great to weigh 163 by Father's Day, but I really wanna aim for 160 actually... do you guys think that's unreasonable?

          I don't know that anything is "unreasonable", we all lose differently. I do know that we're all doing the very best we can to stick to the challenge! This is a nice group and it's fun to see how others are doing on a daily basis. You have some good weight loss incentive going for you!

            Thanks for the encouragement guys. Of course I don't want to push my luck though - I'd be incredibly lucky if I did achieve a 10 pound loss considering I started late.

            SweetCher - aw, thank you. That's me in my avatar. Another incentive is that I want to model, but I can't really do any body shots because I'm overweight and don't really feel confident. :/ Thank you though for the lovely compliment - you are very gorgeous as well!

              Kitty, I modeled from 14 - 18. I think that's a wonderful goal and we'll all encourage you here. You have a beautiful face and it looks like you're very expressive so this can be a time when you work on practicing your facial shots.

              Don't worry your body will be exactly where you want to be in no time. Just keep working on eating well, don't starve your body instead fuel it so that it burns fat. You will be rewarded with the beautiful body that you want in no time! I promise you!

                I'm down to 213.8 this morning...and TOM peeked in just a few minutes ago, which means bloat is on its way in. So, instead of doing my "official" tuesday weigh in, I'm calling it today before it has a chance to go up LOL

                So, that's 2.6 lbs lost this week! WOOHOO

                    Hi everyone,

                    Just checking in! I didn't do so well this weekend. The only thing that I did do was drink lots of water but as far as eating, did really bad! We had friends over Saturday night and I caved in on the bad snack food like Doritos for the bean dip instead of using my pork skins like I planned. I also drank a few pina coladas. So, I am admitting my weakness and moving on! I had 2 Egg McMuffins minus the muffins this morning and a grilled chicken salad for lunch. I have had about 90 ounces of water so far and still chugging! I am back on track and will be doing some crunches and push ups tonight on the exercise ball.

                        computer is soooooooooooo slow, it taking ages to move from one page to another + somehow my fitday it not coming up..... error in page.

                        Anyone else getting that???????????????

                        Well just to let you know, I have not done any excercise during the weekend and today. I think my food journal is sound, am not too sure about the ratio though..

                          What is it with this group and TOM? We must be in some sorta weird cycle I am still abstaining from the scales until TOM is at least 2 days gone. I will post my 'official' weight on Wed.

                          I read all the pages I missed and am so glad to see you all doing so well! Except for that Cypressgirl, who seems to be absent a LOT, this is a very supportive group! Speaking of which, I am out again after Thursday of this week and won't be back on until June 8th - vacation with dh and the boys ( Lord, may I please return with at least a few nerves in tact!).

                          I hate that I won't have computer access because popping in here would sure keep me on track with all of the upheaval a vacation can bring. When I signed up for this challenge, I didn't realize that I would be offline so much! Sorry for that girls! I am still down with reaching the 10 pounds though....Just think of all that hard to run through sand at the beach that I can burn calories in!!

                            TOM is never a good time to weigh...it is never accurate, so I agree with you! I'd leave today's weigh in as your official post date! You did a great job!

                            Tonya- that's what you have to do, just move on! Don't get stuck on the weekend it's over! It's great that you had a good morning and are drinking the water to flush the weekend away. Stay off the scale for a few days while your getting back on track. Don't worry about the past just move forward, we'll do this!

                              The bloat has started, along with the cramps. Ugh. I didn't measure this morning cuz I thought I'd do it tomorrow. Now, I'm torn whether to just skip the measurements this week. It was a surprise, I thought I'd get it next week.

                              I'm actually kind of glad, because that means next week when I'm in Orlando, I will be past it!! YAY.

                              I'm pretty much eating induction foods...except every once in a while I'll have something from a higher rung. Such as today I got a spring mix with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries and a roasted chicken breast. Tonight was probably 2 cups squash (one of them a zucchini I grew) and bacon and some steak. Usually if I get a salad at a salad bar, I'll put a tablespoon of kidney beans on my salad. Once or twice a week I eat a low carb tortilla. Couple times a week a low carb yogurt.

                              I can't remember what the next rung is....I'll have to go look that one up.

                                What kind of low carb yogurt do you eat? I love yogurt, and had tried one low carb variety a years or so ago. Wondering if they have improved any, or you have a brand or flavor you prefer. I love vanilla yogurt with fresh berries..YUM..
