  • Trick *NO* Treats: Lose 10 lbs by Halloween!

    Welcome to a new lose 10 lbs challenge! I know a few of us have been having all sorts of frustrations, from cheating to scales, so I thought a lose 10 lbs by Halloween Challenge seemed like a fun way to keep on track and have a goal! We can all give each other a helping hand on our way to our goals!

    Just post to join, and fill us on how you plan to lose your 10!! Here's a pic for your siggy:

    I'm totally in. Again, maybe not 10, but FOR SURE at GOAL by Halloween. That then gives me 2 weeks to be gorgeous for my 30 yr reunion on 11/11

        Okay, I'm definitely in this one. I haven't seen much movement in the scale the past several weeks. I'm going to step it up by:

        - sticking to my exercise committment (30 minute walk at least 4 times a week)
        - drinking my water
        - Moving from extended induction to Rung 1

        I will lose at least 10 pounds by Oct. 31 (10 weeks = 1 pound each week).

          OMG... Yeh Saty! I'm sooooooo totally stoked! But it does sound scary (ha, ha). DBF says, what's the treat if we win? He's laughing!

          Saty! Halloween challenge gives us plenty of time to lose 10 pounds! I better lose it this time! Cause Thanksgiving's coming after that (smile).

          Silly and liz, I'm so glad that you're in!

          Silly - you have your 30 year reunion coming up - how fun!

            I love you ideas to follow in order to hit your goal! What's the first thing you are going to add in for Rung 1???

            Glad you joined in! I thought 10 weeks was a reasonable amount of time for 10 lbs. I know that if we are dedicated we can absolutely make it!! And tell that BF of yours that the *treat* is seeing you healthier and down 10 lbs!

              Saty - My treat will be fitting into size 6 jeans! Actually, that's my treat to myself! I know I can do it if I hit 153!

              Goals:

              Weigh 153 by Halloween
              Wear size Size 6 jeans by Halloween
              Keep my bust (lol... don't shrink there)
              Develop some type of dedicated weight lifting plan
              (light weights with more repetitions)
              Increase cardio
              Stay on induction for 12 more days and then move forward
              Drink at least 100 ounces of water a day!
              Take starting measurements tomorrow

                Oh, I want to be in on this one! I KNOW this will help me lose at least 10 pounds by Halloween! I've been cheat-free for almost a week now, but I could have eaten better.

                And I will make this challenge by:

                ...upping my water intake
                ...getting back to the gym and using my treadmill
                ...making better food choices

                        That sounds like a fantastic plan Cher! I like the "keep my bust" part! I was worried about that when I started losing too. I started lifting weights when I went back on induction and I LOVE it! I can actually flex my bicep and see definition! I'm so excited

                          Congrats on being cheat free! I was cheating like crazy and it feels good to hit that one week mark as cheat free. I know that you are totally capable of eating right, just really scrutinize your menus. I actually started using a daily diet planner (like fitday) to keep track of what I eat and it really helps. I don't over indulge now, because I don't want to have to write it down and be ashamed! Exercise is key! I just realized I haven't written out my plan for this challenge, but I know exercise is going to be a biggy.

                          I'm so glad you are along for the ride! We are going to look fab! I think I may take a before picture today

                            Ok I am in! My daughter and I just locked on!
                            We will continue our eating plans "cheat free"
                            Exercise 5-6 days a week
                            100oz of water

                            Very excited...will add the button. I love little focused things...My kid is looking at me a bit reluctantly but this will really help her having a mini goal to shoot for...

                              Alright, so here is my plan for our journey to Halloween:

                              ~Stay on a strict induction for one more week.
                              ~Staying on extended induction until I hit 150, which is goal for Halloween.
                              ~Either upper or lower body lifting routines once a day.
                              ~Abs everyday.
                              ~Cardio - 210 mins a week, atleast.
                              ~120 oz. of water a day.
                              ~NO CHEATING!

                              I bought some liquid splenda today so I'm super excited about not having to count carbs for sweetness. But no sweetners for another week!
