Re: New Me for 2007 New Years Challenge!

Ok I get it, making strong habits by the News Years...So we can stand tall on Jan 1 having created a strong healthy lifestyle!!! Oh I am so IN for that! I have been building my new life since Aug 1. Jan 1 is a huge date on my list of places I want to be.
My dream and vision is to meet the new year in a place I am so proud of!
Eating well, drinking all the water, and having good strong exercise in my life...I want a life that has balance though... I am done with extremeisms...(sp)...
The next 6 months of my life are jammed packed, I can relate to your life Lisa. Going full blast with school, and family and your own goals in the mix...
I work in schools as a educational entertainer. I write songs, sing, tell stories and teach character education. It is my own buisness and some of my biggest gigs are in Jan and Feb. I also run an entire childrens ministry and dept. at our church and we will be hosting the first annual national children's conference along side our annual women's conference this yr...Mar 15th...the day after I turn 50...

So, I join you sisters of the new order...Order in our worlds, strength in our daily lives to conquer our mountains, I will come here quietly every day and mingle with you as we link arms for Jan 1!!!!

Way to go Rikki for starting this, hope I am welcome!

Re: New Me for 2007 New Years Challenge!

      Hey Jess Im here!

C'mon now - who did you think was standing right next to you, linking arms

Third day of induction, and feeling really better today as my headache has started to ease - at least its bearable now, you know.

Sister bought me some keto sticks and it was a real great motivational kick in the behind for me to see it turn purple. Surprisingly enough, no carb cravings but I would have killed someone for even just a lick of their chocolate bar.

Gym was a bust for me also - three kids to babysit for the whole day, so at least I ran around some - Sheesshh! who am I kidding Im knackered!

Only problem that I seem to be having is my water intake - Im struggling to get past a litre (which I think is around 34 ounces) but I'm hanging in there and might be chugging along with you Rikki!

      Hows everybody else doing???

Re: New Me for 2007 New Years Challenge!

Veronica, I KNEW i felt someone beside me....
What does knackered mean? Are you british or an aussie???or a good ol american???
the other nationalities are good ol too!
I have rarely met one who easily takes on all the water...I do know you get use to it, then you sort start reaching for it...and for a while there I would not go out or mingle in groups or things without a water bottle in my hand...
        I do 100oz a day...and make sure I get to 64 by noon.
Keep pressing in to make these 3 things a place in your life, exercise, water and low carb food...
Yeah for ketosis and glad the headaches are subsiding. I had em for a week...that and exhaustion!!! pure exhaustion...course I tried to ride the indoor bike 10 mi at 225lbs and that did not help!!!! I've gotten over my more zestful, moments full of zeal! I only rode 7 this morning!

Are yall still doing this? Can I join? I want to be stronger, thinner and healthier by January 1st. I have 39 to go before onederland.. I want that so bad. I'm staying off the scales the month of November to turn my focus on eating according to plan and exercising (which is now becoming an addiction!)

              Anybody hoooooooooooooooome?

Re: New Me for 2007 New Years Challenge!

                    Hey ladies!
I'd like to join, if it's not too late. I'd like to shoot for ONEderland by the new year, but that's a big amount of weight to lose, and I'd rather do it the right way and not panic to lose the weight...so I will set a goal to lose 20lb. by the new year! Even if I don't make it, I'll still be healthier and weigh less than I do now, and that's all I care about!

If I seem to be keeping up this "losing streak" I might change my goal to ONEderland, but for now, I'll set it at "LOSE 20lb."

Re: New Me for 2007 New Years Challenge!

Hi fabulous ladies! Jess told me about Rikki's cool New Years challenge so here i am to join too... awesome idea, Rikki!

New Years is such a great date for me to work towards because i always have had trouble getting through the holidays. If i have a challenge in place and some cool friends to help me get there, i know i can do it this year!

This reminds me of 1998... i had such a horrific year in 1997 (my father died suddenly, my boyfriend dumped me a month or two later... etc...) and in the fall of 97 i had an epiphany. I decided that i would make it my goal to become balanced in body, mind and spirit, and that "1998 is the year of Jenna." (if you check out my journal in chats you will see that i named it after this quest for balance in body, mind and spirit!)

So i began to bug all of my friends with "1998 is the year of Jenna" and kept saying it over and over. It became my mantra... i wanted to do things to actively pursue that quest for balance. I am still working on that quest...

For me, i would love to hit Onederland by the 1st too. But i am afraid to place a weight/date goal on myself. So i'll just say that my goal for this challenge will be to live each day in quest for balance, and for working towards this goal of getting to Onederland. Pushing myself to live each day to get closer to this goal... and if i make it, great, if not, i am not a failure, just successful at giving it my all each day until then.

It's the perfect time for this challenge... this challenge for 2007. Let's take that challenge a step beyond... who do you want to be in 2007? Where do you want to be? What will you do for yourself to get to be that person? How will 2007 be the year of YOU?

Again, Rikki, thanks for such a wonderful thread, for this wonderful challenge! You rock, girl!

2007 is the year of Jenna!!! 2007 is the year of US!

I could not agree more, there is something big about 2007 and me. I can't wait to stand up on that day, and have it be here...it's going to be MY YEAR TOO...I already know that. It's almost a bigger deal than my birthday and turning 50...
I want to work very hard through out the holidays to stand cheat free, clean and clear on Jan 1...

The New Year's Groupies...We are the ones who want "something" on NYD New Years Day! We want to be FARTHER ALONG, we want to be STRONGER IN THIS WAY OF LIFE, and we really want to be IN CONTROL and CONFIDENT! Working this program strongly and in a balanced way will take us there!
I am reminded that I sat down with my daughter and she set goals for the month of Nov. Her goal was to loose 10lbs in the month! I believe it is potentially doable if she changes her tactics abit. If she works hard and makes this her "main thing"...

Work your main things...Work them hard! Focus and find a way to keep your committments with exercise and water and try new foods and receipes and work on the places you are not so happy about...for me that is receipes...I need to work on that...
Soon those wishes we have, "oh I wish I could exercise LIKE THAT"... "Oh I wish I could fit in a pair of jeans like that"... Soon our wishes will come true...
Here's to the Year of Jenna!!! Let's make it our year tooooo.

Sat. is my weigh day...I dropped another 3 pounds...so that's 41 total...I will be so amazed when I loose 50

                              Popping back to answer some important questions;

                              Who do you want to be in 2007? Very family orientated, but none the less, here goes nothing;

~In all honesty I want to be the Mom who can keep up with her kids.

~I want to be the Mom who runs with them, instead stopping after a couple of minutes to get my breath.

~I want to be the Mom who can outplay my gorgeous girls.

~I want to be the Mom whose girls say “doesn’t Mommy look good” instead of “Mommy is still on a diet”

~I want to be the Wife that my husband stands beside, with him being proud of her achieving her personal goals.

~I want to be the Wife, that doesn’t hide at work functions, but who attracts people to her, not because of how she looks, but because of her personality and love of life.

~I just want to live in the best possible way, whilst dragging those I love along with me for this great ride.

Where do you want to be?
~I want to be at a place, where I can look at myself and be really happy at what I am accomplishing.

~I want to be able to stand tall and proud, and know that my will is stronger than anything else about myself.

~Above all else - I want to be fit, healthy and happy.

What will you do for yourself to get to be that person?
~I’m going to up my exercise to at least five times a week at gym - come **** or high water its going to happen!

~I’m going to walk my girls to school and back every day (weather permitting).

~Im actually going to put myself first for a change, and bugger with being selfish.. I'm going to focus (thank you Jess for that word!) on what I want to accomplish along with my health and the AWOL. Its all coming first now baby!..

~Im going to get off my butt, and stop making excuses. No more being pessimistic for me - its all going to happen!

~Im going to become so persistant that my goals will have no option but to happen.

Phew, now that that I've bored you all, with the purging of my soul - at least I can say, if it wasnt good for you - it was for me. If words were pounds, I think I just shed about 20!

Oh and btw - I reserve the right to change or refine these goals, as I start my metamorphis.

                              Bring on 2007!
                              ~Veronica
