  • December-end-of-February Challenge Anyone?

    I've never done a diet challenge and have no clue what it is, or whether it's ok to start one, but here goes.

    I refuse to obsess over Christmas and New Year's fare, and plan to treat these like any other day food-wise! Lawd knows I already learned my lesson on Thanksgiving and Halloween.

    I am instead shooting for an end of February goal for all the Aquarians out there and anyone else who is celebrating a birthday in February, or anyone else who wants to jump in!

    So, what do you say?

    I'm shooting to be to 235 by the end of February! That's 25 pounds.

    And I'm starting now. :joy

    Was thinking about that time period too. Currently I am at 193. Would love to see 170 by the end of February. Like to look at even numbers and challenges help to keep me honest.
    Anyway I'll join you! 170 by then end of Febuary!

      Here I go...

      This challenge is perfect timing for me since I had already "challenged" myself in my mind. I think putting it on here will make me feel more accountable!

      My goal is to be 214 by February!!!!

        Sounds great. I'm currently at 215 and would like to be at 190 by then. What day of the week do you want to have us all check in (or weigh in if we want to share)?

            Not lame at all. People usually decide on a day of the week to check in. It's supposed to prevent us from being scale slaves.

                  Well I have been in a couple of Challenges. I like the Christmas one where we state:
                  current weight
                  pounds to go to goal

                  If you would like I can update it like Mystic has done in the Christmas challenge, not good enough to do a chart or anything but I can type...
                  for example
                  easttexasdaisy 193 170 23 pounds to goal 0
                  an update would be
                  easttexasdaisy 190 170 20 pounds to goal -3

                  As for me I kinda chime in whenever I see a loss. Works for me because I may bounce back up a little but by the next week I usually see a loss again.

                    I'll join ya! I like challenges because they help me push to meet that goal. Plus, it opens my eyes to think realistically about setting a goal!

                    I'm currently 210 and pushing for 190 by Christmas, so I will say 180 by end of February. That's just in case I don't meet my Christmas goal!

                          I'm new here, and not ready for boot camp, so a challenge is PERFECT!!!! Gosh though, I'm not sure what my average weightloss is weekly to make a goal?!!!!

                            Conservative is fine. The weight loss sometimes slows down and it is hard for anyone to tell what their loss is going to be, but a challenge where you check in helps to keep you on track and seeing the success of others is so motivational. Welcome to the challenge!
