    Hi Elsy - I'll cross my fingers for you, for wednesdays weigh in. I know what you mean about fitday.com. I tend not to log on at weekends, and it feels weird. but trust your instincts, you know pretty much what food you eat. I'm sending you skinny vibes!

        destiny, welcome to the challenge. Make sure you do measure all the right parts. I made a huge mistake of not doing that when I joined. I just measured like 5 parts and now I can't go back. I think that will definitely make a difference.

            Hiya everyone! Sorry I have been MIA lately. Selling and buying a house has me all up in arms! Too much to do. I will get back here as often as I can, but since I already met my 19 lbs goal I am not sure how much more to decide to add to that number. I think I may just leave it as is and see how far above the number I get after the fact...

            anyways, i gotta go. Take care all!

              HG congrats on meeting your goal! Did you post that before and I'm a dork and missed it, or is this NEW news? Maybe you can set an inches goal...like losing x amount from y body part? Stick around though, I'm sure it'll be a killer party here in the 4th of July/Canada Day challenge thread.

                  Hear Ye, Hear Ye....I have lost 4.5 inches this week!!! Yeah!!!
                  So, from 4-24-07 I have lost over 28 inches!!!
                  I can hardly believe it! I still have no idea what my weight is, since no weighing in Atkins Attack.

                      Hi,

                      I'm so sorry about not checking in over the past week. I'm back from Denver but I haven't been home! I just haven't been doing great with my eating. I was actually up to 155 this morning and I'm really feeling fat. We've named my tummy "Alfie" now... that is really sad...lol! You can see "Alfie" in the recent picture taken in Denver!
                      Anyway, all I can do is keep trying. I'm glad more people have joined in - welcome.

                        CDRake, congrats to you. I can imagine the sweet feeling. Way to go!!!!

                        Cher, long time. That's really funny about Alfy, but I'm sure you're exaggerating. You look fabulous!

                        And now my turn to report my results. Just as expected, since I couldn't record my meals this weekend or excercise, I didn't make much progress. I lost 1/2 a pound and 2 inches. I'm sure you all can understand the mixed feelings of dissapointment yet still satisfied knowing that it was still a lost. Mininal but still a loss.

                        I did start on OWL finally on Monday. All along I was averaging between 9 - 15 carbs a day according to FitDay. So does that mean that now I have to stive for 20? It's still hard. Where do I get the rest of the carbs if I can only eat my 3 1/2 cups of veggies? Any suggestions my friends?

                          Just add 5g more carbs to take you to about 20g per day. 20g carbs is the limit on Induction, not the requirement. Have you been counting the carbs in eggs, cheese, and special foods like olives, avocado, sour cream, too? Veggies should be MOST of the carbs you eat, about 10-13, and the rest will be dairy and special foods. During induction I usually averaged about 15g per day, and once I moved to OWL Rung 1, I FINALLY ate 20g per day!

                            Yes Julie, I have been counting the carbs on cheese, sourcream, dressing, avocado, and lime juice. Even then, it's way less then 15 carbs a day since I only eat those occasionally. I'm gonna start adding 5 carbs of the more fiber type veggies like asapargus. See what happens.

                              Elsy that's a great idea! Those "other" veggies have more fiber, and more nutrients than the salad veggies. Why not try eating 2 servings of salad veggies and 2 servings of OTHER veggies each day. Try some higher carb ones like zucchini, pumpkin, squash, etc. Those will help "up" your carbs and they taste GREAT!

                                Thanks Julie. I added onions yesterday for the first time and more tomato than usual. Can you believe this is the very first time in 5 1/2 weeks that I actually reached 20 carbs. I was so scared after that so in the morning I had to take a peek at my weight and see if I had gained............daaaaa!!

                                And what do you know????????? I actually lost 1 lb. Thank Goodness and thank you for the advise. Tomorrow I will try asparagus for sure.
