    Ohmygod. I didn't see this yesterday. I almost spit out my water when I read it. I don't fence. People don't let me around swords/long pointy things that can stab people. I don't know why.

    Let's see. For classes, yesterday I just did pilates and spin. Pilates was actually kind of easy, and my friend who goes with me swears that it's the same routine that we did the first class and were dying from. That would be *awesome*. I skipped out on yoga since I was really exhausted. I'm kinda sad about that since I *really love* that teacher.

    Tonight I'm going to BodyCombat (kickboxing class), and then probably BodyPump (weights class).

    The scale hasn't moved, well, it went to 189/190 but I'm still sore, so I'm counting it as water. I was thinking last night about the scale thing... I mean, I was so happy when it said 209... and now it's 20lbs *less* than that, and I'm kinda like, go down go down!!! But I guess I was just looking back and my feelings about being that size, and how if the scale said 209 right now I would start crying. Seriously. But I was thinking, like, when I get to 170, am I going to say the same thing about 190?! I was sooo happy to reach that, but then am I going to say "WTF was I *thinking*?" when I'm lower??

      Good points, Lyssie. I'm still at 190. Fricken 190 Grrrr!

      I went to the gym yesterday and did weights, whole body exercises. Combination of legs and arms. So, like I did squats with front deltoid raises. Then I did walking lunges with military presses, Calf raises and these KILLER ab things where you put a medicine ball inbetween your feet, lift your legs up, grab the ball and then lower the ball above your head and lower your legs back down. Then do it again the opposite way.

        Lyssie, maybe meant fencing as in the pawn shop variety...?

        I know what you mean about feeling so happy to reach a certain weight, but not in retrospect! I was so happy to finally hit 220, my first minigoal. It seemed like it took forever! But I guess that's what I get when I put my *first* minigoal 45 pounds away from my starting weight. I was so happy to hit 210, too...that took forever because I was stuck at 213 for a month!!! I think ONEderland was the best...but now I want to be in the 180s SOOOO badly! I'm hoping I'll be there by May.

          Oh god Joy, I've done those with exercise/Swiss balls, but not with a medicine ball...I'd probably drop it out from between my feet right onto my gut. OW.

            I can't do very many of those. I actually lose count. LOL They are VERY hard, BUT, they totally engage the abs. More than other abdominal exercises I've done. It feels like my entire stomach is working to lift my big legs with a 6 lb ball between them, including the obliques. I can isolate my abdominals better doing this exercise too, as opposed to using leg muscles or back muscles.

                Wow... I want to try those Joy... do you think I could lose 2 inches in my tummy by July 4th if I committed to doing these? OK, off to do 20 minutes on the exercise bike.

                Lyssie... kickboxing and Bodypump sounds good for the evening.... what's everyone else doing. Inquiring minds want to know... anything I should be doing for my arms?

                  Cher--WEIGHTS for the arms. I need to take pictures of my arms now. I *LOVE* my arms. I've got SEXY arms...and it's all from weights.

                  AND here's the kicker...my arms are STILL PUNY. I can't really do pushups..>I can do a few modified sissy girl pushups, but that's it. I'm still only as high as a 15 lb weight and I can only do about 8-10 reps with one that high. But, my arms are freakin NICE!

                  So, get out those weights and start working those arms.

                      Joy, Lyssie and Julie,

                      Which exercises work the biceps and the triceps the most. Is there
                      one or two (for each) that you think are the most effective. I need
                      to start slow and build from there. But, I'd like to start with the
                      most effective ones...lol!

                      Oh, and I'm thinking about wogging Adena... I'm catching the bug. It

                        bicep curls (dumbbells, preacher curls, and/or straight bar curls - you can also do on incline)
                        tricep dips, skull crushers or kickbacks... it depends what you have access to.
