    Yay! Eat those higher carb induction veggies and enjoy them!

    Elsy, one of the great things about OWL is that many people find that adding those extra veggies JUMPSTARTS their weightloss! I was one of those people. When I started OWL, I lost 3.5 pounds the first week! I believe I lost 12 pounds during my first month of OWL. So yes, I am a die-hard supporter of moving on!

    Tomorrow is weigh-in and measurement day for me...and it's the LAST day of school for the year! I am exhausted! I'm hoping for a good weigh-in...but I might need to cross my fingers. I upped my strength training at the end of last week...so hopefully the tape measure will be my friend.

      OK so today is weigh-in/measuring day! My weight is still at 187, but uh, I need to go potty at some point today, big time, so I'll double-check tomorrow. Here are the stats:

      Wooo Hoo! So even though the scale showed no loss (which it might tomorrow) I'm still losing inches. I had a feeling my weight would actually be HIGHER than what it is because I've added more strength training.

          WOW Julie! Congratulations! It's amazing how week after week you continue to lose inches no matter what. I admire you for your perseverance and discipline. Good for you.

          I know what you mean about feeling releaved cuz school is out. I am a High School Counselor now but used to be an elementary teacher and those summer breaks are very much needed. We love the kids and all but it can also be exhausting and draining. Enjoy your vacation. You deserve it.

            I going to keep Saturday as my weigh-in day! (I keep the reading if I weigh on Friday or Saturday.)

            Hopped on the scale this morning, and it said 185! WOOHOO! I made my mini minigoal. I wanted to be 185 by the end of school. And today is teacher check-out!

            Also, last night, I got a pair of jeans out of the dryer (errmmm, they'd been sitting in the dryer for a while) and I was worried thinking, "Oh they're not going to fit, jeans always get smaller when you wash them, I'm going to look like a sausage". But you know what? They fit, and were even BAGGY! These are my size 12 Calvin Klein jeans that I only bought in April. Good thing I bought some size 10s, too!

                      Congratulations ladies. You all are doing fantastic. I'll be finishing up my first week on OWL and not too thrilled. Tomorrow is my weigh/measurement day. I will report it hopefully with a smile on my face.

                          daqui--we weigh in once a week and measure once a week. Use www.fittogether.net for measurements--it's a great site. It doesn't matter what day of the week you weigh/measure, as long as it's weekly. Pick a goal for the challenge. You've got about a month, so what's a safe amount of weight to lose that you'd like to strive for? We started on April 1st and I picked 15 pounds, others chose 5 pounds, others chose 9, etc. It's whatever you feel comfortable with. Check in from time to time just to keep us updated!

                            O.k. Julie I had to weigh this morning cuz it was my official weigh in day but no more of that until next week. I just had to see if OWL was working for me.

                            And guess what? Apparently it did! It definetely jump started my weight loss again. I remember last week, which was my 5th week on Induction, I had a zero loss. This week after adding the veggies, I lost 2.5 lbs and 5 more inches. That is a total of 20 lbs since I started the challenge.
                            Hurray, Hurray!!!

                                You know me always asking you questions. Now that I've seen that the 1st Rung is working for me, how do I know how long to stay? Is it pretty much up to me? Or until I start stalling again? What do you think?
