    Thanks cheribaby and Atkid. I did measure when I started on 10/01/07. To date I've lost (or least when the challenge started) 28 inches, 6 of those off my waist. I know this sounds stupid but I'd rather see the scale move. It's just something I'm going to have to work on. I really believe giving up sugar was easier than breaking my addiction to the scale.

        its is a fantastic form of exercise! the best! lol

        Catrenia, I'd take inches over pounds any day, and its something i dont see much of, my fats spread over 6 foot so i move little in inches but quite a lot in pounds
        people see inches! they dont see pounds!

          Hmmmm, but doctors see pounds...not inches and I so don't like what is written in my chart.

            My doctor weighed me and told me i couldnt take the contraceptive pill that i wanted to because i weighed too much.

            I pushed at him and told him that its not prescribed on a weight basis, but a BMI, he said "it doesnt matter, with a weight that high your BMI will be too high "

            I'm currently taking that pill, worked out by BMI was 29 or something and this pill was available to anyone under 30... he apologised and ate his words.

            look how much i weigh Cat, if i tell anyone how much i weigh, they laugh, they think i'm joking.

                Wow. What a busy thread! I'm just catching up You guys are so motivating and inspiring!! I can't wait to see what 11 weeks does for us all.

                  This is exactly how me, my mom and sister are! No one believes us when we tell people how much we weigh because we dont look like we weight that much, it sucks! So i'm not too focused on how much weight I lose I just want to lose inches, which I havent yet but I know I will once I get my butt to the gym!

                    You are a skinny woman though. Seriously!! I think I can get several people here to agree with me. Plus you're tall. I'm not short, but I'm not tall either. I'm average. My fingers are crossed that Monday will show some inches and pounds lost.

                            Today was a long day, and when I got home from work, I used to grab any high carb food, for immediate gratification. This time I first went to get a large glass of ice water, and then planned what I was going to eat. DH is working late tonight, so it's dinner just for me! Not 1 illegal carb entered my mouth. I'm so excited I was able to do that. Now I'll do my workout and then flake out.

                                I have been trying to drink only water during the day, which is a switch for me....I do still have either a cup of decaf or a diet soda, but only one.....and the rest is water.

                                I know that I could cut out both and live with it though.
