    I stayed the same for this week, after being away for the weekend, where I ate a bit more than I usually do, we had a couple of buffets, which are usually deadly, but I really was selective on what I ate. I didn't work out the same intensity that I do at home, but did do alot of walking. So I'm back to the slim in 6 workouts, and careful carb counting. Hopefully I can still lose a few more pounds before heading out on our cruise next Wednesday!

      Ok I remembered to weigh this morning! and after my first weekend "experimenting" with alcohol - I lost a whole pound!!! yay!!! so I'm down to 174 lbs - finally lost something!! lol

              Hey Curisergal... like your name. I'm going on a cruise in April (6 weeks away!) YAY! Anyway, from your profile name I'm assuming you are a veteran cruiser?? Any tips on how to stay low-carb on my trip. I'm so worried about going off plan for a week and not being able to get back on track when I get home. Have fun next week!

                  I was 179.3 so a whopping .2 loss .......... I don't know whats wrong with me these days but I can't seem to get my weight to move ........ I think the drastic is needed so back to induction for me! Hopefully I will see a move next week!

                          hey everyone.. just have a sec cuz it's after midnight.. again!



                          I haven't fallen off of the face of the earth.. really. I FINALLY got a JOB on this base.. here in Japan. Been really busy getting daycare set up and everything. I had 2 weekends in a row that I was HORRIBLE on.. and the scale shows it. One was for my husband 40th birthday.. and the slippery nipples (butterscotch snapps and bailey's) didn't help things! And of course since i screwed up anyway, I had cake. Then the next weekend was my son's 4th birthday. OK.. all the birthdays outta the way til August.. mine. ,.... which I'd better have lost a ton by then. I think my weight this morning was back to 184.. so I'm hoping I have something better to report next week! Sorry about the delay in posting. Pray for me and keep your fingers crossed that I can behave now! haha! Thanks so much for all you guys do and post. You're a great group of people!

                            Hi everyone, i just want to post i have dropped 5lbs of those 7 that i gained in 2 days, so im down to 320, from 325 yesterday, i knew i had to be retaining something here. I guess i need to go to the vit and supp forum and ask away about all these supplements im on, and see if that would cause me to have such a high gain in the amount of two days and especially since i just started taking supplements.

                              Liz, congratulations on a great week. As far as cruising is concerned, it really isn't any different than going out to a restaurant, and they will generally fix thing the way that you request it. You just have to ask. Stay away from stuff that says sugar free. Just because it may not have sugar in it, doesn't mean that it doesn't have fructose in it. It generally does. Breakfast of eggs and bacon and sausage, is usually pretty easy. Lunch you can be pretty creative. For example a tuna melt sandwich melted over a tomato instead of on bread and veggies in place of fries or chips. Dinner is also pretty easy. Steak, fish, chicken, you name it as your protein. Just be careful of the sauces and dressings. That is where you have to ask questions. Most of the sauces are thickened with corn starch, and lots will have sugar in it as well as the dressings. You are generally safe with bernaise sauce and hollandaise sauce because they are butter based. Peppercorn sauce and mushroom sauce you may be OK on, but they may have thickened it with corn starch. Just ask. Same with salad dressings. Blue cheese you probably are OK, anything else, ask. They are there to please you. It is no different that dealing with a passenger that has other dietary requirements or food allergies, whether it be kosher foods, or gluten free, or whatever. Just be aware and have a great cruise!
