      Down another lb. Now 5 lbs under goal at 195. 1 more pound will make it an even 200 lbs from my heaviest weight!

          Sorry I haven't checked in - I'm actually up because of TOM - but expect it to be back down by Monday. I didn't check in anywhere this past week as my evil twin was running around causing all sorts of issues. I like the crying "me" better than the "me" that showed up this time!!

            By any chance is it Atkins the right way? LOL! No really, what exactly do you eat? And how much exercise do you do? Do you ever rest?

              Well, I eat pretty good. I just eat the right stuff and keep my carbs usually between 50 and 70 net. I sometimes get it up to as much as 100, but that is rare.

              Here is a typical day for me.

              Breakfast:
              2 eggs
              2 slices of bacon
              1/2 cup either greek yogurt or 4% cottage cheese
              1/2 cup either strawberries or blackberries
              1/2 to 1 cup of whole grain cereal depending on carb count and fiber
              1/2 cup of soy milk (unless I am having whole oats)

              Lunch:
              1 can of albacore tuna
              1.5 oz of mayo
              1-2 tbsp of pickle relish (made with Splenda)
              1 stalk celery
              maybe 2 slices of whole grain high fiber bread
              2 cups of veggies (either cauliflower w/ some cream cheese or a salad with blue cheese dressing)

              Dinner:
              8 oz of protein (chicken, steak, fish, or pork)
              2 cups of veggies (either broccoli, green beans, asparagus, bell peppers, etc)
              7 oz glass of wine (usually red more so than white)

              Snack:
              Wasa cracker with cream cheese or possibly nuts

              Usually my calorie intake is somewhere around the 1800-2200 range. Carbs in the 50-70 range, Protein in the 100-150 grams range, and fat in the 100-150 range as well.

              As for exercise:
              On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I go to the gym and do 30 minutes on the treadmill at 4 MPH, followed by 45 minutes on the weight machines.

              On all the other days, I do about 1 hour (15 miles) on the bike in our gameroom, while watching the morning news, listening to my ipod, and reading a book. Who ever said a guy couldn't multi-task??? LOL

                  I will just be relieved if last weeks loss stays off, as it took me 4 days to walk again properly and I haven't been anywhere near the gym!!

                      Greetings and Happy St Patrick's Day to everyone from Ireland!!


                      I'm down 2, which I worked hard for and don't know a way to up it to 3 next week to hit goal - but who cares really? I'm just amazed to find myself at this weight and I'll get pretty close hopefully. That puts me at 203/185/182

                      the jury summons for March 31 that I just got in the mail
                      It may sound crazy, but I've always wanted to serve on a jury and have never been called. Probably if/when I am it won't be welcome, but I'd just like to have that experience.

                            Well I'm not doing great but it is a loss on 2 weeks ago. 180/175/165 So far from even my start point!

                              Hi all,

                              Weight unchanged at 189 which I kind of expected since I upped my carbs to 45 this week and screwed up Saturday evening and ate a bowl of "Curves" cereal with half and half. This happened after a **disagreement** with my DH and even though I have never thought of myself as an emotional eater, maybe I am.

                              Had a good Atkins day yesterday and then a friend came by in the afternoon and I drank 2 Michelob Ultras while sitting out on the patio I am determined to buckle down this week and lose a couple more lbs. before the end of the challenge.

                              Kate, I am rooting for you to kick those last 3 to the curb so you can make your goal for the challenge. Happy St. Patricks Day to you as well.

                              I just signed up for the "Spring In To Summer" challenge which starts just about as this one ends. I am dreading pulling out my challenge swimsuit next Monday

                              Will check in later to see how everyone does this week!!

                                Congrats to all the LOSERS!! To those who maintained....let's kick some butt this week. I'm still at 190 which is a miracle since I've been bingeing on Breyer's Low Carb fudge bars and Russel Stover Carmel Pecans. I hate TOM!
