    I pledge not to weigh until tuesday... that's all I can pledge for now... addiction is too strong! ha! okay, I'll only weigh on tuesdays... once a week. oooh, that's gonna be really really hard, I just know it.

        i am 11 days scale free... i feel better coz if i weigh my self everyday and i didn't lose weight i will be depressed(AND I DONT WANT THAT)

          Welcome to the challenge fefelia,
          Oh, I know what you mean. That metal monster can be so evil. It's best to stay off of it. Our bodies go through so much fluctuation throughout the week. Best to let it settle for an accurate reading. Dr. Atkins recommends once a week at least, no more.

                i weighed myself this morning and today is the 1st day of induction. i wanna not weigh again until after induction but for me thats almost impossible. So ideally i am gonna try and not weigh until 26th Jan. Wish me luck everyone!

                    im on day 2 now, was a struggle not to jump on the scales this morning. feel like i wont make it til 26th!! might just try and not weigh until monday. Seems like something i can actually achieve.

                      Great to see you back. Wishing you much success with Induction. I had my DH hide my scale. Works for me. Tomorrow is my day to weigh after 7 days of Induction. If I don't see a change everyone might fill a big jult around the world from me blowing up the scale, hehe

                        7 days of Induction completed. I weighed in at 253. I lost 2.5 lbs.
                        I pledge 7 more days scale-free.
                        I'll weigh after 2nd week of Induction is over on the 21st.

                          Well today i was sooooo tempted to get on that scale but nope i didnt. I did not realize how hard it would be. i do not weigh in again until Jan 26th.

                            ok i'm going to join this. i'll not hop on the scale for 7 days. so every monday. this is going to be tough b/c my morning routine is to check my scale before i go to work, and its kinda discouraging now b/c it has just been going up, down, up, down the same weight!

                              I would like to jump it, I get on the scale way to much!! up to several times per day.
                              I will have to weigh in 2 x week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. I am participating in the 2009 lose with the loser challenge on ADBB --so i have to weigh in on Tuesdays. I am also doing a "biggest loser" at work and we are required to weigh in on Fridays...or give $5 to the pot.
                              I pledge that I will only weight in ONCE on Tuesday and ONCE on Fridays. The scale that I have at home will be hidden from me by my daughter....at my request. This alone is going to be hard. I think I am addicted on weighing myself.


                              I weighed myself this morning and I am finally down to 20 lbs lost. I will not weigh again until Friday, when I go to work.

                                Hello Ladies,
                                I see some great goals being set. I have no doubts that they will all be met.
                                wnt2bsz14, how did your weigh day go on monday? Would love to hear back from you to see how you're doing.
                                Candy, I know what you mean about having a routine of weighing each day. I'm a scale addict. It's funny, Not funny ha ha, but funny I don't remember weighing myself this much when I was so heavy.
                                It would be nice to get that peace of mind back that I had back then. Back then I knew I was heavy, why look at the scale? Now I would like to get in the mind set that I am getting healthier and I don't need the scale to determine that. My actions will reflect the scale. You know what I mean?
                                I also notice that when I don't weight myself every day, rather than focusing on the scale, I focus on my woe and become even more stricter with it knowing that everything that goes into my mouth will reflect that on the scale. Eat to much, I gain, eat to little, I stall. It truly is a balancing act. The up and down, up and down is a normal fluctuation of your body rhythm to weightloss. You will notice a pattern in your weightloss where you will lose then pause, go up a bit then down then pause, up again then lose 2 to 3 pounds. Maybe not in that order but close to it. Everyones rhythm to weight loss is different of course. It's good that you gave up the metal monster. Now you can redirect that energy onto your woe (way of eating).
