well that was a bit disappointing...only 1kg/2.2pound lost in 5 weeks....I have been walking everyday and sticking to plan so I figure its going down and thats good!

        Hugs to you Norah
Gumby, Hi there! That is great news! Inches and pounds go hand in hand. Did you measure your body, so you can keep track of inches lost. I have found that the tape measure is a better friend than the scale. When the scale doesn't move the tape measure is sure to.
Hi d33na, You are going in the right direction. Congrats on the pounds gone. Keep consistant on your woe, exercise, supplements and water and you will see results every week. Not just in pounds and inches lost, but also how you look and feel.So many rewards waiting for you around each corner of this lifestyle. You are getting so healthy internally. Your Blood chemistry is improving and you are building a stronger immunity.
Keep going challengers. You are getting healthy, healthy, healthy!
        Love, Sherri xo

          Hi Sherri

I've um toughened up since this afternoon...lol...it's amazing to see the doctor smiling at me! This is the 3rd visit where he just was so supportive....he knows Im doing atkin and 100% supports me...me coming off insulin was proof enough for him...so I think he may be a convert

He also said LOOK at the graph of your weight loss....it goes constantly DOWN...how much better can that be?

SO..........onward and downward we shall go!!!!!!!!

thanx for the words of encouragement...

            You're very welcome d33.
I am so glad to hear of your glucose levels improving. I don't know if you know much about my history but I was once being medicated for Type-2 Diabetes before I began Atkins. Ater 47 days into this lifestyle my diabetes reversed and I no longer needed to control it with meds. It was and still is controled by atkins alone. This is an extremely healing woe.
That is wonderful that your doctor is supportive of atkins. That is the #1 person to have in your corner as far as I am concerned.
            Very proud of you!
You are getting healthier with each passing day.

Sherri- Yes, I did take my measurements, so that's what I'm comparing myself to now. It is sooooo hard to stay off the scales! I don't know how some people go weeks without getting on. I wish I could-but I guess baby steps for me. Once a week is pretty good for me!

d33-Congrats on your doctor's visit! Sounds like you're doing everything right. Both yours and Sherri's weight loss is so awsome and encouraging for a newbie like myself!

Once a week is perfect. Especially when you are moving up the rungs. That way when you are reintroducing foods in that rung, you can target which foods are making you crave, stall or gain much easier. So once a week is recommended. Plus our weight fluctuates so much throughout the week, from day to day and sometimes minute by minute. Could drive a sane person mad if allowed. LOL
So you are doing exactly the right thing by weighing once a week.

Weighed today...no weight loss once again! It seems I'm stuck at this number. Haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks. However, I have lost 3 inches overall, so that's good.

I am enjoying eating this way and want to stick with it. I am going to up my exercise some and hopefully that will help to get the scale moving again. I've been doing the veggie challenge this week and thought that would move things, but it hasn't. Oh, well.

I think I will stay off the scale for the next two weeks and weigh on Thanksgiving morning. Maybe I'll get a whoosh!!!!
