My daughter got away with a black eye and a bruised nose.... So sad for the both of them.
I am so sorry Liss, I applaud you in being a responsible parent. I know its not an easy decision to make. I was bit in the face when I was 6 and had a nasty laceration from my left eye lid to my hair line. I still remember what I was doing. I was looking the dog right in the eye and leaning in toward him. Now I realize that it was my actions that brought on the behavior. It was a game I would play with my dog and I would get big wet kisses....this dog did not know me.
I just wanted you to know that I am not afraid of dogs and other than the physical scar, I have no mental scars. I actually have taken in 26 dogs in the last 3 years and rehabilitated them and placed them in homes. I am sure in time your daughter will be ok. ((((((((BIGHUGS))))))) I am so sorry my friend. I feel for you and the pain of losing your canine pal.

Thank you all for your kind words. My little girl isn't even phased by it any more. She's a bit proud of her black eye actually, lol. She doesn't understand however why she can't play with our dog any more. My son is actually taking this harder than all of us.

When my husband got home from work yesterday and got down an all fours and asked my daughter so show her what her and Whiskey (our dog) were doing before Whiskey hurt her. And it is completely her fault for the attack. She was at Whiskey's eye level (as Razzle said this is a no no, it freaks dogs out) and she was sticking her hand in the dogs mouth until she felt her teeth and then pulling her hand out fast.

Though it is Ashlynn's fault for the attack, we can't risk this happening again. It's going to be very sad in our house for a while...maybe we'll go adopt a turtle, lol.

On the happy side of my news.........I'm down to 278 which officially puts me in to the just obese catagory of things and out of extreamly obese!!!!! And I've made it to two pounds less than my revised new years goal....I just hope all this weight loss is mostly fat and not just muscel loss from my right leg not being used to hold up this once 324 pound body.....

Wow, Liss, you're doing great! If you're in ketosis, doesn't that mean you're losing fat? That's what I gathered from Dr. Atkins book.
Glad to hear your little girl is doing okay.

Oh I have no doubt that some of it is fat....but my right leg is ALOT smaller than my left. I'll take a picture later today so ya'll can see my funny looking nearly skinny right leg, lol. It really is funny looking. I'm glad I'm wearing pants again, other wise **shutters** lmbo.

Before my surgery I wasn't losing weight like this...1-2 pounds if that a week...and now from last week to this week it's 4 pounds...that doesn't happen with me. Especially when I'm not working out. I sit most all day.

Well if your right leg is smaller than your left, you are losing muscle and it's a good thing you've started therapy to help build it back up. But as for the weight loss, perhaps this WOE is helping your metabolism to function better.

I agree with Sookie, I think our metabolism starts to increase, Thats what happened to me and then I cheated DUMB! DUMB! Oh Well it came off again but now I am stalled at 221 for the past week. Congrats on being far away from the 300's. I know you will never see that number again!

                            Hi All,

Just checking in. I've really enjoyed reading your posts back and forth and admire the strength and commitment that you all seem to have. I'm still on program, however have been stalled at the same weight for 2.5 weeks. Which is a little bit discouraging as I want to be 3 lbs lighter than I am now when I leave for Christmas holidays next week (going home to visit family and meet boyfriends parents for the first time - we live overseas in Switzerland). However, this has only made me renew my commitment to doing this WOE and I added in 20 mins cardio this week and am going to cut my cheese intake rather than go back to complete induction.

So I'm not closer to my NY goal of 169 but I've been getting more and more comfortable with this WOE and am doing positive things to help myself feel healthier.

Keep up the good work and the posting.
