    Hi Karen,
Glad you're with us! I commend you for taking steps to break the addiction to the Atkin's bars and get your sweet cravings under control. About 35 of the excess pounds I'm carrying were put on quickly following my hysterectomy. I went on a sugar binge as soon as I came home from the hospital that lasted 6 months. I felt such a sense of entitlement at the time I was medicating with the cheesecakes and pastries every day, suffered a lot of guilt and regret when I finally woke up from my sugar coma and came to my senses.

      Hi Lori,
Your post has really given me some inspiration and encouragement and I'm going to "keep on keeping on." No, I'm going to do better than that.....I'm going to start getting up each morning expecting good things to happen to my body while I "keep on keeping on."

                :wave Hi, gang!

Haven't been in for a few days because my computer went absolutely bonkers! Well, I decided enough was enough and so I went and got a new one yesterday! I like it but it has so much junk on it, I don't know what I am doing! Anyways.....

My eating has been really bad today. No breakfast, lunch was roast beef and lettuce and dinner that Bikersgoddess pizza (yummmy!). I made that cheesecake recipe called "best cheesecake on Atkins" and it sucked. I wasted $2 worth of cream cheese for nothing! :grumble :anger Just as well, I guess.

lisaaw: frakenfoods are what they refer to as "lowcarb" products: atkins bars, shakes, cookies, what-have-you, that are supposed to be low carb when they just replace old food addictions, cause stalls and re-activate sugar addictions. Hood milk is low carb but there is a right time for it and until you get to the dairy rung, now is not really it. But if you want to drink it, not for me to discourage you. Your choice but just saying. You just have to be patient, do the plan exactly as Dr. A set out and you will be going fine! Just keep going and don't give up!

lori: ok! I see what you are saying and I can totally relate. Your meals do look better though! LOL!

Remember to even have a small bite of something if you feel you can't face a full breakfast. I'll at least have a piece of cheese, or I always have cold boiled eggs ready to go...or some deli meat....but have something, darn it!! :guns lol

I am one of those people that just can't handle breakfast and I think that's because I'm a late night eater. I just can't go to sleep without a full belly.
Terrible habit that definitely needs to be broken! I'm going to work on that.
