I'm on Day 14, buy I'm going to extend my induction for another week or two. Here is what I have eaten for the last 14 days.

oops, I guess you wern't finished lol I seen only 648 calories for the day and got worried.
I am also seeing you go over the 20 gram limit on some days....You gotta watch it. Unless you are starting OWL.

FightingTheFight...you talked about soda, and I'm really happy for you that you are determined to get away from them.
Something I often recommend to people is to think nutritionally.
We all know the effect that eating an egg, or veggies etc can have on our bodies. We know that we take the vitamins, nutrients and fiber from them and that's what fuels our bodies.
When we drink water, we know it benefits us in almost too many ways to count!
When you think about a soda, what does it give you nutritionally? As far as I can tell, it gives squat, right?
I find that that thinking this way makes it easier to deal with being around friends eating non-Atkins food. I have no problem with the fact they choose/are able to eat it, and I never would presume to lecture my friends about what they eat. But in terms of myself, I look at those fries, or that dessert and I think "What would that food give me nutritionally?" and I never can come up with anything..so what's the point in drooling over it?
Anyway...stay strong..drink that water, follow the Rules..and encourage others to keep it pure! :icondance
the summary of food eaten on Fitday shows TOTAL carbs not NET. So I've been doing ok.
my menu for yesterday
B- mock danish w/ bacon (4)
S-pepperoni slices (1)
L- smashed pumpkin (6)
D- taco salad (7)
S- buns by Pau (1.5)
Great challenge, I'm in. I can see that I'm going to be addicted to this board -- and I'm not an Internety person! Here we go for Day 1 Induction:
Brekkie:
1 sausage
2-egg omelette with sprinkled cheddar
Snack:
hard-boiled egg
lots and lots of water
Lunch:
grilled chicken breast with oregano and basil over
1.5 cups salad
I'm making my salad by doing a mix of the "2-3 cup" vegetables, a separate mix of the "0-1 cup" vegetables, and keeping them in separate large containers in the fridge. When I need a salad I throw them together in the right ratio. Sprinkle on some mozzerella or parmesan.
Does anybody know where to find some good low-carb dressings in Australia? Nobody here seems to sell bleu cheese or ranch!
