  • Gift ideas for husbands

Ok, it's getting close to Christmas and I need some gift ideas for my husband. Can everyone post some things that they got their husbands in the past? I'm just totally out of ideas.

I can't write what I want to get for my hubby this year cuz the bugger reads these boards! LOL

Let's see....we've done a really nice watch, a leather coat, gift certificate to fly in an F14 simulator, and tools. Lots of tools. We also do homemade coupons. The kids usually do theirs for chores and mine aren't....chores. LOL!

I've done the watch and leather coat...he's not interested in flying...I've also done the tools but you know...men can never have too many tools eh?

Not chores? So what would they be then?

There are a few gifts that I get him the same each year..one's a particular page a day calender.
This year it'll be slippers (sounds boring, but he'll be thrilled) probably some new flannel jammies (I know, so dull, but they were a super big hit last year).
I don't have a lot of $$ so I have to really think hard what to get him that he will like and use.

My stuff's pretty boring too, but it's stuff he wants. This year I'm thinking of a new briefcase and a digital camera. He always wants cologne. He's worried now about wrinkles and he always says his face hurts after shaving, so I got him some nice anti-wrinkle cream and soothing after shave cream. Slippers, bathrobe, truffles, candles...

I'm going to get him a new briefcase that's big enough to hold his laptop and his lunch, book, camera, etc. He also wants a digital camera to replace the one he had stolen... but we'll have to see if $$ allows.

Otherwise, its all little stuff. DVDs, CDs, pj's, books, cologne maybe... we're all about the stocking stuffers here.

Oh, last year I replaced the Palm that was stolen with his digital camera. One year I got him a new/bigger/faster hard drive for his computer. Another year he got a whole slew of new clothes...

I forgot about that. Barb reminded me. My dh doesn't know what a sport is, but he enjoyed concert and play tickets. Doesn't know what tools are for either...that's okay. I love him anyway.

                    Re: Gift ideas for husbands

DH and I have only been together for 3 Christmas's, and before that I never celebrated Christmas, so I am having fun being creative with his gifts. Have given him, tools, gold bracelet, clothing, a weekend away in the mountains (with me of course), a personalized calendar, with me on every page, a digital camera, gadgets for his truck (one being a magnifying glass, with a light, for night travels), dinner theatre tickets, a terry cloth bathrobe with his initials. Before Atkins, he loved chocolate, so I gave him his name in Big Chocolate Initials, in a chocolate chest! As you can see I get a bit carried away, I'm new at this!

Or, gift certificates to massage or something fun.
