Isn't lying about going fishing pole dancing?

    And politicos are Poll Dancers.

And my husband's family comes from Poland. Only they are bad Pol dancers.

Ok, so I walk into a fishing store and then what? I know nothing about fishing. I don't know what he already has, what he needs....nothing!
In that case...what about a gift certificate to his favorite fishing store?

BF is getting Guitar stuff this year, mostly... I can't put exactly what on here he may see it.... he has 5 guitars 2 electric, 2 acoustic, and a base(that is actually mine, but I don't play!) I got him a new acoustic for his birthday, so he doesn't get an actual guitar for xmas, just a few accesories, usually I always get him clothes because he won't ever pick any out to buy for himself! he doesn't like that so I only got him a few clothing items this year l

My husband is a huge Star Wars geek (and I love him anyways) so one year I got him a picture of his favorite character, signed by the actor, from ebay - of course, the odds that it's really authentic are pretty slim, but it didn't cost much at all, less than $20. I put it in a really nice frame so it looked impressive, and he loved it. That could work with anything your hubby likes - favorite sports player, musician, actor, etc.

OK - here is something I got for my husband as an anniversary gift because he likes to read funny stuff. http://www.marriedtomommy.com/index.htm I got the Married to Mommy book for just $10 and it is a hilarious "handbook" of how to respect your wife when she wears the pants in the family. Kind of blows the cover on all of ther foibles like n0ot listening, etc - but REALLY funny. They have some stuff on their website so that you can kind of get an idea of whether it maybe something he would enjoy (or you would enjoy). And, Wanna, no - I am NOT implying anything that I do not resemble myself .

              Re: Gift ideas for husbands

DH and I have been together three years now too. The worst part about Christmas for us is that his birthday is December 24th. Talk about a double whammy.

1st year a book about biblical history ( he is really into that) so perhaps a book about something he likes, if he likes to read. I can't remember if I got him anything else. Maybe that was the year I bought him clothes. Oh well, obviously boring stuff.

2nd year, a dinner cruise, this was a complete disaster. I also invited my mom and her boyfriend along as a christmas gift for them and this was Georges birthday gift. Since it was xmas eve, I was told it would be more special not the usual buffet. It wasn't special and the food wasn't very good and it rained so no live band on the deck, no dancing. I complained ( I spent a small fortune) and I got two more ticket for two. We went out again just the two of us on a early evening dinner cruise and It was really nice. No buffet, live band, dancing, everything I had expected the other cruise to be and more.
3 yr, Simon and Garfunkal concert tickets and a trip to Boston to see family ( I really did this for me. I knew If left up to him, I'd never meet his family. It was a great trip)

I hope this helps and thanks for starting this thread, I haven't any idea for this year except a flat screen monitor but that isn't looking like its going to happen. Oh well, keep thinking, something will come to mind.

Eh, satellite radio is virtually commercial free...100s of channels (at least there are in the US, I'm assuming Canada's would be the same). Lots of everything, and uncensored channels. In the US it costs 12.95/month.

We are still virtually newlyweds so we can be sappy and say our greatest gift is each other....lol. He would probably say he doesn't give me a gift because EVERY day is like Christmas day when he takes me shopping! Somehow I never make it out of a store with just one thing.

You can pick up the satelleite radio recievers at best buy/future shop. A coworker of mine has one (he's paying for US service)..and loves it. There's a monthly fee for the service, not sure if it's like cell phones ie: contracts etc. Most likely there is. there's hundreds of channels, commerical free, most are by genre etc. The h/w starts at 79.99 at future shop, fees start at 14.99 http://www.futureshop.ca/marketing/s...atellite_radio

Last year i did an online list with the kids in the family, not sure if this was the site..but something similar anyway. You can email your lists to friends family etc.

I don't know if your DH is into computer games at all, but Samsung has a brand new 19" flat screen gaming monitor with 6 ms response time. Got it for mine's birthday, he loved it.
I made him a huge parakite last year, it was fun, he downloaded the pattern of the internet months before and wanted to take it to someone else to make. I suprised him with it and he was ecstatic. He uses it alot, I can't believe that it can actually fly! It's hard work though, but nice and personal because you made it. Maybe you can do something like that?
A makeover for the games room / study?
                      Countryclub membership?
                      Tennis / Piano lessons?
                      Scuba Diving trip
Nice big towels - my DH loves his, his got 2 huge ones with his initials
Get his best friend from school / university / someone he'd want to see to come visit?

Hey hey hey!!! *I* am a huge Star Wars geek, possibly bigger than Christopher, who is also one. When Revenge of the Sith was out in theaters I saw it 16 times. What was really depressing is that my sweetie was deployed in BFE for most of the year, so he completely missed everything, and I saw it in the theatres without him. I did make a care package of SW merchandise that I gave him when he got back from deployment. Having to wait soooo long to discuss it with him was a killer.

Yes...I'm a dorkus geekus maximus. And proud of it.

My husband is a trucker. Last year, I bought him an XM Radio. This year I will renew it for him for another year. That is the best present he can have so he can listen to music, news and weather no matter what time of day or night and regardless of the signals for the radio stations from town to town.
