    What's a moon pie? Sounds like something you do out the car window when you've been drinking.

      American biscuits:They are the basic English scone: the recipe is more or less the same, they are baked the same way and shaped the same way. And here, they are eaten as you would eat bread: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

      American "scone" is a monstrosity. They are just wedge-shaped American muffins---sweetened and flavored. They're sold at trendy coffee shops and bakeries.

        Twiglets are crispy meat flavoured things that are shaped like minature twigs really.
        Really? I never would have guessed that. Are they low in carbs?

            It sounds a bit rude, but I am sure its not.

              No, I wouldnt have thought so. I have never looked at the carb count as they have got to be high.

                Great. Now I'm going to be thinking about twiglets, scones and jaffa cakes. Not good.

                Still waiting to find out what a moon pie is. I hope it's something gross, but I have a feeling it isn't.

                  Looks likie a chocolate donut filled with cream.

                    Re: American vs British

                    After looking at it closer, it actually looks like what we would call a Wagon Wheel.

                    Not a chocolate filled donut at all.

                      It looks exactly like a Wagon Wheel. Huh! I don't like them so I won't be thinking about them at all. Thanks Rich.

                          Oh here's another Brit-American difference

                          Bedsitter = studio apartment

                          I was watching "Prime Suspect" and it took me a while to figure out what a "bedsitter" was....

                            did you know they don't have Smarties in the US? They're smarties are little candies, like what are called 'rockets' in canada.

                            Actually learned this on this board a while back. I thought everyone had Smarties!!!

                            That moonpie does look like a wagon whell to me. or a vachon cake.
