LOL, oh you're allowed to talk about cats! Fur babies are fur babies! And acutally Gizmo gets hair balls sometimes too--John gives her butter when she starts making that hacking noise and it slides right down! Thank goodness!

Hmmm. Maybe I should try that. They only kack up on the floor when we're around. We have hardwood. They hurl on the beds when we are at work. and dh calls them dumb animals. I don't think so.

Mickey get's Greenies to clean his teeth too..but I have considered the brushing cause he has the grossest dog breath most of the time. Though somehow i wonder if meat flavoured dog toothpaste is gonna do much about that. he's a pretty smart dog..wonder if i could teach him to gargle with listerine? LOL

if i give him the greenies on a regular basis their usually pretty good.

My vet used to clean the tartar of cat's teeth with som tool that looked like pliers. boy did she hate that.

Yes we do. Okay, except when they kack up on the bed. I don't love them so much then. lol I stay mad at them for....oh....I dunno....a good 20 minutes or so. hee

My cat used to go out of her way to yak on the furniture..she'd be on the tiled kitchen floor, start hacking then run into the living room up on the couch. would just be too easy if it were on a wipeable floor.

Lady! My friend gives her cats whipped cream out of the can as a "treat" (just a little blob of it) and her cats don't get hairballs anymore.

Our other dog we did, as her teeth were not nice. Would not have, but she had infections from her teeth.
The puppies? The vet has told us how beautiful their teeth are! Their favorites treats are apples and carrots. Their teeth are so white!

They pretty teeth match their pretty white fur! You know Gizzie love little raw baby carrots too! Maybe that's why she's never had teeth problems!?

The only fruits and veggies Pedro likes are avocados and bananas.

ROTFL - this thread is getting too funny. I found the same thing Sadie - the cats will start out on the floor and then move to a carpet or piece of furniture to finish their yakking.

Maybe I should try the whip cream thing, Miss Phode. Do you love your new name?

Mickey likes carrots, lettuce spines and frozen broccoli. Good thing because I see no other useful purpose for store-bought frozen broccoli. I buy it when I can't find cheap broccoli and then always wonder why the heck I've done that. Mickey's breath was horrible when we first got him and his teeth were just brown. They are much better now and we don't faint from his breath when he enters a room. So the meat-flavoured toothpaste must be working.

I'm glad I have a little dog--they don't seem to have the breath problems that big doggies have...eww eww eww

And yes, the few times that Giz has been sick she has done the same thing...she wants to get up in a chair or on the couch! YUCK! I usually grab her and move her!
