    Re: Fess up time!

I thought I was the only person who ate frosting, really, except I can remember doing it as a child and having to mix the margerine and the powder stuff together, before the canned stuff.

I was a bread eater, and I would purchase 2 huge baggettes, a new stick of butter and a jar of honey and then eat both baggettes.

    Ordering 2 double double cheeseburgers.

My worst events were holidays. I would make sure i ate first at home, then go to others homes and eat full meals there as well.
Lord, my dream is to lose this weight and to be healthier.

You know, after reading what I posted, it really is a awakening. I know I posted in the depression or addiction thread last year about eating to make myself ugly. I'm glad I'm no longer there.

Ohh I know the perils of cider--it's so easy to drink, and relatively cheap! When my boyfriend's brother was visiting us this summer, he was in this cider phase...we would go shopping and buy all the cider they had--usually 5 6packs, and Stephen and I would drink it all in about 2 days...

I still love it though..no hard feelings, cider. <sigh> But who knows if/when I'll ever drink it again.

          Peeps. BY THE TRUCKLOAD.

Favorite meal: McDonalds: 2 quarterpounders with cheese, a large fry and a large rootbeer. Almost daily. That's 1,900 calories, and 242 grams of carbs at one meal.

          Caramel corn. OMG....

              Re: Fess up time!

I've always been more of a savoury person - never really had a sweet tooth so for me it was:

              Potato chips (by the kilo)
Burgers (a couple at a time)
Huge amount of carby take-out (so we could have a little of everything - yeah right, there was never anything left)!

Wow - one of the best things Atkins has done for me is remove my need to snack and make me need less food- even when I would fall off the wagon, I would still be eating less than I used to, albeit carbage!

              Great thread! Kay

                Re: Fess up time!

I've always overeaten...sweet or savoury. Could always have double the amount of pasta than anyone else... always raid the fridge and 'tidy up' the leftover cake, making the edge look nice and straight (and lop off a quarter of the cake in doing so).
                I just was always hungry!
Oh... I nearly forgot...whenever anyone brought Cadbury's Fruit and Nut bars down from the UK (and they always brought kilos of them)... they wouldn't last more than three days!

                    Hi

I had a really bad sweet tooth!! On my way home from work, I go to my mother-in-laws as she looks after my dog for me during the day, so when I arrived, she would always make me a cup of tea and just hand me a packet of biscuits!! so I'd eat at least half the packet!!! so that was say 4-5 packets of biscuits a week!

My father-in-law jokes with me now about the biscuits - he says the manufacturers of biscuits will be going brokes since I've started my new way of eating!! lol

What is frosting? We don't know of it as that over here. It might have a different name in the UK.

I would make buttercream frosting (from scratch) and eat it on cookies, graham crackers, or just out of the bowl, a couple tbsp at a time.

I was thinking of this thread today and was reminded of the stage in my life when I would make loaves of Amish Friendship Bread (you know, that kind you divide the dough and it ferments for like 12 days or something...and there's a whole buttload and a half of sugar in it?) and I would sit down and eat the whole loaf. In ONE sitting.

My favorite dessert used to be ice cream with lucky charms on top. And I ate it alot.

And Macaroni and cheese? Let's not even go there. And we'll leave the pizza discussion alone as well....

                                Re: Fess up time!

when I lived in the States - I had alot of Fast food. If we are what we eat. I was fast cheap and easy!

Jack in the box was my favorite. Chicken Supreme, 2 regular tacos, Large rootbeer and onion rings with salsa sometimes for the he11 of it I'd have them toss in a breakfast jack or two.

My friend and I used to go out to eat. We were eating buddies. Even if we just finished a big dinner at home - a few hours later we'd go out to the diner and have a full dinner - maybe dessert too. Always drank soda or teas. Sometimes I am surprised we didn't blow up and explode we'd eat so much.

Icecream. I loved iced cream, I guess I still do, I just haven't wanted any since I jumped on the wagon this time.....but Ice Cream. I love it. And I would make chocolate pudding, not the instant, the kind that took a while but was sooooooooo worth it. Then I would but hot chocolate pudding in a bowl of chocolate mint chip ice cream.

Chips, I could eat a big bag of doritos and not think about it. Pumpkin seeds - loved them. M&M's, almond M&Ms.

The holidays....warm pumpkin pie topped with chocolate ice cream. I love pumpkin pie. And hot apple pie. Pie.

                                Bagels.

You name it, I probably have eaten it. Rattle snake. Yep.

I'm amazed at how grossed out I am by writing this post. Thanks Bren for this eye opening thread
