I'm not ready to call this one myself yet.
I'm leaning towards Number 1, being the lie.

25 years ago being born 8 weeks premature was a serious problem. That's my thinking. At the moment.

Emma has a point with Number 2.
Yet, some family member or friend may have had a private plane, and let Alexa hold the stick. Push forward to dive, pull back to climb. Nothing fancy.

At The Times I was a youth correspondent for the youth section.

Yep, 8 weeks prem was a big issue then - I and my lovely Mum are lucky to be here to tell the tale.

As for the plane it was my Dads, but I flew solo. My picture got into the local paper too.

And yes Mercedes is right - but how do you know that Mr Hayden??

I just figured that if number 2 was right we'd of spoken about it at some point, i was around 13 when i first started learning...

The photo, was found using some Google-fu that I know.
It was through a link that connected that fundraising event with the Times.

Don't worry. I uploaded the photo, to the gallery, so no-one can back track to the webpage that I found. I double checked that before posting.

Naw, changing would be cheating. Is "Mercedes" a family name? I know that it's a more common name in Latin countries.

Same theory as before. The idea is deception, and while I'm looking at all the others and thinking maybe and could be. I'm not looking at 18 jobs line as being the lie, because it's so possible as being true.

Well, let's see:
1. I was 2 months premature - TRUE, and yes I was lucky and so was my ma, as I said.
2. I learnt to fly a plane when I was 14 - this is FALSE! But it is true of my sister! I always base my lies in truth, it makes them sound much more realistic I find! Lol, not that I lie a great deal, of course! Well done Emma.
3. I have had 18 jobs and they mostly sucked - TRUE
4. My middle name is Mercedes - TRUE as it means mercy, see truth 1.
5. I have worked for The Times - TRUE when I was 14-16 as a youth correspondent.

So now ya know

The name "Mercedes" always made sense to me (studied romance languages in school), but they also have the name "Dolores" which means "the pains" . I think I like Mercedes better.
