That storm looks awful! My sister lives in MD and they have more snow now than we do in the mountains.

Today it was 10 when I woke up. Above zero! On the radio yesterday, they said the temps today would "only" be in the low 20's. Seeing as how it has barely gotten above zero the past few days, 20 is like a heat wave.

I guess nearly everywhere we can say it is very cold.Today its -5 and very cold and windy.The roads are icy from abit of snow from last night.

21 this morning, but didn't feel bad at all. Looks like we may be getting a bit more snow, hopefully not - we still have so much.

The snow guy I had lined up couldn't make it so I spent about 5 hours shoveling yesterday. This morning I get a phone call from another snow guy wondering if I needed any help.

The snow drifts on the roof are scary. We're supposed to get rain this weekend so I'm concerned about that. Wish it would warm up so there would be some melting before then but temps are predicted to stay below freezing until Christmas. The snow is that hard moist kind that won't blow off either.

Everyone: please pray for my roof!

We've gotten about 2 foot of snow since yesterday evening and it hasn't stopped coming down yet.................

Barb, we are getting that snow blizzard now. Not great timing with all the holiday travel and such. Hope you're staying warm.

Yeah, same that we had...heavy and wet.

We got 4" on the driveway this morning, don't know how much more is coming. And the next few days are a mixture of snow, sleet, ice, rain, snow, blah,blah, blah...doesn't sound good. The ice is the WORST if I had to choose.

We still have the icy roads as its very cold the tiny amount of snow we had has turned into ice.Very windy and cold.

I never listened to the weather forecast Im basing it on the weather on the weekend but trust me its freezing outside and inside so heaters on day and night not looking 4wd to the high bills.

Weather here in Italy is horrid at the moment... had a few very cold days (minus five C), but sunny... now though, it's turned warmer (though still pretty cold) but rainy and windy. Weather that makes you want to curl up in front of the fire!

I'm seeing lots of cold weather posts.... stay snug and warm everyone!

Thanks for stopping in.

LOL, this is also a geography lesson for us all.

I think many of us think of Italy as this romantic place, sitting out on a patio under an umbrella, sipping wine and eating some antipasto as you look out over a hilly view of olive orchards.
(At least I do)
I never think of Italy as getting cold.



Kntrylady lives in CA, a state everyone thinks of as warm...Her weather has been harsher so far than the weather here in Chicago, which is known for its bitter and cold winters. But the part of CA she lives in gets very cold. Interesting bit of trivia.

I'm dreaming of an ICE Christmas.

Sham, where you live, do they go through the streets with snow plows and street salt? Do you get snow every year?



WE are getting an ice/freezing rain/sleet storm here. Both Chicago airports have tons of cancellations and delays! I would rather take the snow. You can't drive on ice! Just walking down my concrete driveway to the street to get the mail was very hazardous.

I couldn't walk on the grass because it is covered with a small mountain of snow too deep to walk in without boots. And I am NOT putting on boots just to get the mail...too much work.
