I dont know what i am doing wrong. i havent lost weight in 12 days. sorry to complain. sometimes i do ramble
      The bacon might be part of the reason for your stall -- bacon has a lot of salt which can cause you to retain water. As for not losing pounds but losing inches that's great! Inches mean your eating is paying off.

      As far as your son not noticing well, I wouldn't put a lot of stock into that - kids don't notice a lot of things...and if you were as down as you sound by the post he might have been put off by that. I was talking to my niece the other night on Skype and stood up so mom could talk to her, she said "Hey Aunt Carole dad said you lost weight - where?"....I love the child or I would have reached through the webcam and slapped her. Whenever I would tell her dad I lost 5 pounds he'd always say "turn around, yep - I found it". I did slap him...and I love him bt his's an azz!!! LOL

      Don't give up - come here on a regular basis because that's what we are all doing here. How long have you had your treadmill? Have you gotten to more than a mile a day on it? Do you walk or walk/run?

      Have you tried the cream cheese muffins for breakfast? Breakfast doesn't have to be only eggs - do you have an allergy to them? Growing up I could only eat the white of an egg - the yolk would practically put me in the hospital with hives but I've grown out of it in the last few years. If you can eat whites you could buy the eggwhites in a carton and make things. How about having pork patties and jazz them up with spices to give them some flavor - that would be good for just about any meal but especially for breakfast.

      I hope you don't give up, I was stalled for just about a month and a half until I re-did a clean induction and lost 5 pounds...that's about half of what I lost on my initial induction (12 pounds then) so I was happy. I think re-induction helped me because it focused me again and that was something I really needed.

        I wish you well on your weighing!! I weigh on Saturday after the weigh/no weigh challenge is over. I've been trying to continue to work out differently this week. I was doing the same thing over and over and hope this will jump start some more weight and inches loss!!

          I would hate to give up my bacon i dont know what else to have for breakfast? I get so sick on eggs and if they are the main ingredient i get just as sick. but if its only 2 in say a cake i am ok. I cant do whites either tried that got sick too just not as bad.
          normally what i eat is:
          B-bacon salad with cheddar cheese that i cube mayo for a salad dressing
          or just 4 strips of bacon and a chunk of cheese
          L-hamburger maybe 2 but really getting sick of them
          snack- i usually grab some pepperoni and another ounce of cheese
          dinner 2 cups of salad usually only had onion some diced pepperoni just a couple pieces to spice it up. a veggie usually green beans, and meat

          lots of water 64 by noon.
          got the treadmill on 3-21-09 walked only at 1 mile an hour for maybe 30 mins for the first couple days.
          i walk 2.2 miles an hour for 1 mile in the morning
          and another mile at the same speed in the afternoon

          thats what i am doing now what i was doing was
          first 2 weeks
          ate mostly tons of cheese burgers,spam,zuccini,bacon,beef,pork chops green beans, salad made the mistake of the atkins bars. that was like 4 days in i had them 1 a day for 5 days. I thought maybe i ate to much meat. i dont know. Sister says i need to count calories,but atkins doesnt. so confused.

          I got so depressed tonight about this i ate what the family ate sausage and shells and a huge salad. Now i could kick myself in the butt. I guess when i cheat i go all out.

          Tommorrow i am gonna figure out what i can eat for breakfast and start new. any suggesstions that dont have egg?
          I love the energy the foggy brain is gone and i am no longer depressed except this kind that passes quickly.

          Any help will be so appreciated...

            Ruthanne -- do you have the DANDR book? If not you really need to get one, that will answer so many of your questions. You can eat bacon, just look for ones that have no sugar added (Walmart has a couple brands and I've heard Wegman's does also if you have one close) What I meant was regular (sugar & nitrate added) bacon could be cause for your stall. How about pork patties in the morning? I bought a pork roast and had the butcher grind it for me, then came home and added some sage, sea salt and pepper and they taste like sausage but no added stuff. I'm sure you can buy the already made up pork patties I just wanted to be a pain to the butcher during a huge pork sale at the store (lol).

            How about something other than plain hamburgers...stuffed green peppers, pork steak, pork roast, pork chops, roast beef, Nathan's (or Oscar Meyer) hot dogs (only 1 carb each). Try going to the menu section to see if there is anything that looks or sounds good to you - or Linda's recipe site Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Daily Menus - of the induction recipe sitehttp://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/58513-never-ending-induction-recipes.html.

              Thanks about lindas site gonna head over there in a minute. Thank you so much for the wonderful ideas. I have done really good today. Maybe i had to hit bottom to realize how important this is to me. I will do, I think i probably should start induction all over again. Thank you so much for all your help. I am gonna do this. I do have his book. I understood it and lost weight following it. I think what happend is all the people around me that were messing me up. Just gonna tune them out this time. I can re start induction even though i have already been on it for month right? Thanks again.

                I went back to induction and just finished it -- that's what this thread is all about - people who have stalled (which you have done) for whatever reason. You should join us - we'll help you keep the voices of the people around you at bay!

                Believe me, I know what you mean about the people you work with -- I live with my mother and hubby (and our 1 year old dog)....my mother believes that if I just "push myself away from the table and eat less" I'll loose weight... my husband believes that I should take a few bites of every friggin thing he puts on his plate......so believe me, I hear what you are saying!!! If I pushed myself away and ate less I would weigh exactly what I did when I started, because that was the "plan" I was following. I have spent the last 9 years tasting my husband's food (he must think I'm going to poison him). Now I have told them both to just stay out of my eating and allow me to do this. Every once in awhile someone slips and has a comment for me....now I just don't listen.

                Since January 5th I have lost weight - I have kept the weight off and I LOVE the food I eat. I have found new foods that make me feel good and that taste good. I don't miss starchy foods and things I do miss I've found a work around. Example: tonight hubs and mom are having fried potatoes with onion ---- I counter with fried radishes with onion.....(try them they are wonderful). I had Nathan's hot dogs for lunch and fried cheddar cheese, rolled the dogs in them and had a "bun"....different, but still good!! Here's a pic of my lunch. In the little bowl is 1tsp 1carb ketsup, 1/8 tsp mustard, 3 cut up hamburger pickles and 1 green onion cut up. I cut off pieces of my cheese dog and dipped them into that mixture. I also had a salad w/Ranch dressing and 3 radishes cut up -- I haven't been hungry all afternoon and it's now 5:15p.m. No other "diet" I've ever been on has done this for me - made me full and KEPT me full all afternoon.

                I had never had Nathan's beef hot dogs before today -- I LOVE THEM!!! They are wonderful and 1 carb per dog. They ARE expensive but the taste makes them worth the price.

                      wow that dinner looks awesome mind if i join ya giggle. I had fried zuccini tonight with a salad with creamy blue cheese dressing. and a small piece of keilbasa. I was stuffed already drank 173 ounces of water today. I think i go way over the amount in veggie carbs. If i reduce them anymore i am afraid i will find something else to eat. for some reason i wanted to nibble or eat every 2 hours today i had 3 meals and 2 snacks and i finished dinner almost 2 hours ago and now i feel hungry. I am drinking water to let it pass cuz i am trying sooo hard not to be hungry. fitday on my computer says 28 carbs but not to sure how accurate i am with this program.

                      Hubby doesnt share his food. But he sure likes to try to add things to mine..ughhh.

                      glad you put up the bigger picture. My eyes arent what they use to be.
                      Got my 2 mile walk on the treadmill in. I gotta figure out what i can eat that will stop this hunger pain 2 hours later. But the last time i felt like this I had darker ketosis sticks, i wonder if i confuse hunger with this fat burning thing going on?

                        Carole, I had Hebrew International kosher beef hot dogs a couple of nights ago, and one for breakfast with my eggs this morning.

                            wow finally found something that actually curbs my hunger.
                            i only had maybe a spoonful of this and wow its totally curb the hunger pangs big time
                            8 ounces of whipping cream whipped and set aside
                            8 ounces cream cheese
                            12 packets of spenda box says it = 1/2 cup but i think its much less
                            three shakes of some vanilla
                            2 tablespoon of cocoa..its unsweetend store brand
                            i mixed everything up excep the whipping cream
                            once mixed i folded it into the cream
                            put a large spoonful in a bowl and went to watch tv. i liked it and was like wow. only a small spoonful i ate if that really. it curbed what ever it was that had me going crazy.
                            my tummy and tongue are thrilled. I hope the unsweetend coca is ok on induction if not uh oh...

                                cocoa is not legal until the nut rung. You can have everything else just not the cocoa. I eat radishes or thin slices of zucchini when I'm hungry and nothing else will do. Or I take 1 or 2 oz of cream cheese, soften in the microwave, add vanilla extract & 1/2 pkt of Splenda -- it tastes like vanilla pudding!! Or instead of vanilla extract you can put cinnamon in it...it tastes so good!!
