  • Do you miss Tacos? Induction friendly recipe with pics!

OK, this is an old trick but I thought that some of the newbies may not know about it.

It is one of my favorites --taco shells made from cheese!
I actually like them better than the regular corn tacos and these are induction friendly!

Sprinkle shredded cheese of your choice over the bottom of a small non-stick fry pan on low heat.

    Cheese will melt.

As it melts it will get lacy looking, when the edges are browned

Flip it and brown the other side for about a minute

Remove from pan on to paper towels and fold over, hold for a few seconds as it cools it will harden.

Different cheeses will look different, the one that looks the most like a real taco shell is made from sharp cheddar cheese, the darkest one is made from mozzarella and the one with the darker spots in it is made from pepper cheese! IMO the best one is the one from the cheddar and my least favorite is the mozzarella because it tend to not get as crispy as the cheddar and it browns very quickly!

Fill it with your favorite taco fillings!

Yep, I bet one of those little suckers could kill the ounces of cheese on induction. They look yummy though.

Nah, you only use a little over 1 ounce of cheese per taco, so you could eat 3 of 'em if you wanted to, personally once I fill them up with the meat and lettuce and salsa I can't eat more than 2 even if I wanted to!

I tried this and it turned out great. Mine was just a test shell, I saved it and later broke it up into chips and ate it with tuna salad...soooo good!!!!!
