Prime Rib and lobster tails were on sale this week, so that's what we're having ! My stepdaughter (13) will be here and she's on a of no-beef kick (which has lasted 2 yrs now!), so i'll make a chicken breast for her.

"pud" is short for pudding MOG. Which you'll know as "Dessert" (just our british slang

Unless you call it Pudding over where you are?

Sometimes we have pudding for dessert but we don't call all dessert pudding. Then there's yorkshire pudding which isn't really pudding at all...is it? Or dessert. Ooh and then there's blood pudding. Ew. I don't know what that is but it sounds nasty.

We generally call all desserts - puddings.

Yorkshire pudding = Is batter basically, served generally with Roast Beef. Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding is possibly the most stereotypical english meal. Right up there with Fish and Chips!

Blood Pudding, I am assuming you are referrring to what we call "black pudding", which is basically congealed pigs blood and oats, stuffed into a sausage like casing. very high carb content. But not as disgusting as it sounds.

I used to love it also, but due to the ingredients (the oats) I dont have it anymore.

                              Do you get white pudding?
