Or look for a Whole Foods..we don't have Trader Joe's here but we have Whole Foods instead.

Too bad you're so far away. I have 2 unopened jars left from the 3 batches I canned last tomato season and the stuff is to die for! Unfortunatley, John has dibs on them, he's taking them up to his brother's in WV this weekend. My tomatos better hurry up and ripen, I'll have salsa withdrawal's!

Right now, I have a very small pot of oil to deep fry, and then my pan ready so I can pan fry as well.

Wow..this is the perfect thing for a cheese fanatic like myself...that picture looks SOOOOOOOOOOOO yummy. I will have to check walmart this evening when i go there for the cheese...I know they carry a few different mexican cheeses but I have never looked at them so I dont know which ones they have....


...but so...is everyone on here in agreeance as to do NOT deep fry in a fry daddy thing...just skillet fry in a little bit of oil?? when you do it in the skillet do the outsides get just as golden and crunchy looking??

I'm going to make some more of this when my hubby gets home. I'll post a picture later. It got nice and dark brown on the outside, like a "crust" and the inside was nice and creamy melted! I am sooo full and now I have to think about making DINNER for the guys!

Well, it was a 2 pound block. And when I bought it I thought, "gee, I hope I LIKE this". Now I am thinking I should go back and get more and freeze it in case I can't find it again!

Update:

I deep-fried these in a small pan, and they turned out just like the picture.

I did make sure that the oil was *very* hot before I put it in, and I only did 1 at a time (when it started browning, I would put another in).

They are SO yummy!!!
