Re: Ideas to bring to a tikki party?
Yup what MOG said, Not sure what province you are in but in Ontario shoppers drug mart, Walmart and the pharmacy at Loblaws/superstore etc has a diabetic section that sells the s/f jellys. ED smith makes an amazing s/f jam but not sure if they make a jelly. Smuckers has s/f products too but they're a bit higher carb than ed smith.
I ended up making fruit salad with pineapple, papaya, mango, canary melon, cantalope, strawberry and kiwi. For the dip i used 1/2 large container of 6%yogurt, 1/2 container ff sour cream, some crushed pineapple, pineapple juice and some pineapple/passionfruit crystal light. I made 2 pineapple boats which i froze to keep the fruit cold. It was a huge hit and was delicous.
My cousin made some tomato and cheese kebobs which would be great for induction. she had cubes of mozerrella, cherry tomatos and 1" chunks of red/yellow peppers on skewers, and she brushed them with Italian dressing. they were awesome, and a great summer appetizer!
she also did the jalepenos stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon and baked. they were very good.
Here's a picture of the tiki bar they built
