    I am still in the induction period of the atkins diet and i was wondering if miso soup (consists of tofu, spinach, and soupy substance ) is induction friendly please respond soon

        I have no idea if it's induction friendly, but I'm thinking no.

        I just did a search on it on atkins site, and per 1/2 cup there are 31 g's of net carbs.

          I think the problem with miso is that it is often prepared with a grain as well as the soy bean (often with barley and rice) so I would wait till the last rung to try it out.

            Miso is just fermented soybeans that are ground into a paste. A sort of fermented soybean butter, if you will. So it wouldn't be allowed during Induction.

                  That's for half a cup of miso paste, not half a cup of the soup. 1 cup of soup is made from roughly 1 tablespoon of paste, or 4g carbs per cup of soup.

                  It's certainly not induction-friendly, but it's not bad for OWL. Though it is very high in salt.
