that is so great!!! i think everyone needs a visual to keep the motivation going! i don't know that any one challenge has accomplished what this one has. to actually go outside the "walls" of our board and into the workplace like you've done. this is just super!

thanks for the no pressure thing. lol that helps more than you know! when i get it made up, we'll have to test it and make sure you can print it off. my thought is to get it into my photobucket and provide you with the link. from there you should be able to print it out.

Sounds good, Jimmie! Everyone is pretty excited about the poster board and getting stickers. LOL If they do get an award, it'll be LC icing!

Oh boy! I love it too, that this challenge has moved from our cyberworld into "real life"!!! Awesome!

Slowed down a little on my stairs, cos I've hurt my knee. It's a real pest and is interfering with my morning workouts too. Rest doesn't seem to be doing the trick though so I have to have a CAT scan on tuesday. Am seriously miffed about it.
Still climbing, but more slowly and putting weight on the other leg. Oh well.

Thanks Bio and Erin. I'm sure the extra toes crossed (Erin) will make a difference!

Actually... I was bored with rest not doing the trick so did my full exercise routine and dog walk this morning. So far so good. Personally, I think it's just something like arthritis...but here the docs are always almost too careful!

I would really want to join this. It looks so fun and I actually walk quite some on stairs.

I have stairs in my house, stairs at work, stairs at trainstation, stairs in fittness centre etc. So it may not add too much to my actual exercise, but it will help me get back my image of being one who is atlethic..

I start with the London Millenium Dome, and already did 18 flights yesterday

sanne! good to have another climber! i'll add your name to my list and continue to mark 'em off when you get one done!

sal, i'm sorry for the knee problem. i hope the scan doesn't show anything and that it is indeed just some arthritis. my mom calls it "arthur". arthur came to visit, arthur hurt me last night, and so on.

i will be done with mont blanc, mark my words, on or before feb 15. i am tired of this mountain and have really stepped up the pace to get it done.

jack is going slowly. he doesn't get in hardly any flights at this job. he does however still keep count when he uses the flights at home.

Thanks Jimmie! I love the sound of Arthur!! Much better than Mr Meniscus!
I'm open mouthed with admiration that you'll be finishing Mont Blanc by mid Feb. That's simply amazing! Good for you! And there's me not yet half way up! You must be soooo fit with all that climbing. You'll have to take hold of Jack's hand and drag him along with you for a few flights! Lol!

Sanne... Welcome to this fun challenge! I'm sure you'll have a great time here with us!

Erin, Jimmie and Sally! Thanks for the welcome, yes,I really look forward to this, just have to remember to count the stairs. It is especially difficult at home. Anyways, I did notice that I have been more enclined to run upstairs and downstairs and go twice, even at home today, because I know that I am now "going somewhere". Really a fun challenge!

sanne, i put a bunch of pennies at the bottom of the stairs and make a deposit at the top each time i climb.. that way i don't lose count.
your off to a good start just by doing the flights double.

sal, i swear, i am just sick of mont blanc. lolol i could repeat numbers i've done in the last couple of weeks but won't. those are recorded in my stats journal but i will say this, kicking in the afterburners has really made a difference in my thighs and butt. i can feel the burn in the muscles like i haven't felt in while. i can see myself earning the award for the buildings again when i get done with the mountains. this is a challenge i will keep doing.
