Thanks! I think my dog's finally gotten used to my up and down, up and down. It helps not having her staring at me.

Welcome back Jimmie! Glad you kept moving upwards!

Am getting out of my "jaded" feelings on Everest. Now that the end is really in sight (another ten days maybe) I'm suddenly wondering if I'll feel a little lost after finishing!

never fear, sal! i worked on new climbs last night and i'm just figuring on how to post them. it should all be posted today, one way or another.

check out the very first post, at the bottom. there are two added links to click on. one is for another set of virtual buildings and the other is for towers, masts and chimneys. all calculations are based as closely to the original set as possible. happy climbing!

Thanks for the new climbs, Jimmie! I've still got a long way to go to finish even the first set of buildings, but maybe seeing how much is left out there will get me moving a little faster.

kate, when you put it in terms of steps, it sure does look overwheliming! keep on going, you've got most of the climb behind you now!

tracey, i think it's good to have some of those smaller climbs. seems like when you get to the mountains it's like you'll never finish! everyone can fit a few smaller climbs in around those big mountain climbs.

guess what? i have to add to the spreadsheet!

Goodness, don't get overwhelmed folks! I started, never believing I'd finish... yet here I am with only a few more days left on Everest! You all can do it!

A tip. What really made a huge difference to me was getting the aerobic step. Once I had that, I could really "up" the flight count. You soon get into a very fast way of clocking up those flights. Got it from ebay and it cost peanuts!

good tip, sal! i've been doing the same. when i first started the challenge, it was a challenge just to get in a dozen flights. now the challenge is to use the step stool i have and continue at a steady pace for 20 minutes. and you are right, that works up the flights quickly and going at a steady pace really makes me sweat! i even started doing some arm movement while stepping. that gives a wonderful workout!

sal, how many "flights" can you do on your stepper in 20 minutes?

AND I'M CHEERING YOU ONWARD AND UPWARD TO THE SUMMIT OF EVEREST!!!!
are you going to plant the flag of Italy of the flag of Britain? i think i have both
