kate, good to see you sticking with it!

i've recieved a couple email replies concerning the calculations. quite frankly, jack got it pretty much figured out before the people on the other end even knew what i was talking about. i had to send them links to their own pdf for the the stair climb challenge.

jack has it figured out as close as possible so after the move i'll be setting up the Challengers Choice and adding another set of buildings and towers and masts. sal, your volcano will be included in the Challengers Choice catagory. i'll give particulars on how the other climbs will be added to the that catagory.

my flights have slowed a bit. i am not happy about that but it can't be helped, i guess. i'm still working on everest but i've had 2 days recently that i didn't do any flights at all and that has not happened in a very long time. week after next, i suspect i'll be making up for any lost time.

Looking forward to seeing the Challengers Choice! Sounds like more fun.

Jimmie... go with the flow... with all you have to do these days, it'd be a miracle if you didn't have a slow down now and again.

I'm now seeing the summit of Kili just up ahead of me... pant pant!

Jimmie, do you know how many steps are in the Seattle Space Needle? I don't know if my friends are pulling my leg or not, but they told me I had to walk up!

sillybud, the chart that we go by on this challenge says there are 1,164 steps or 78 flights. i don't know if the British Heart Asso. figured the exact steps or did their calculations. those figures are to the tiptop of the needle. here are some facts the will help you see how what you are in for.
                  Seattle Space Needle
                  • 605 feet
                  • The Space Needle features an observation deck at 520 feet (158.4 m), the SkyCity restaurant at 500 feet (152 m), and a gift shop
                  • the SSN is 60 stories
                  • There are 832 steps in all from the basement to the restaurants on the observation deck.
                  get your climbing shoes on!

Sweetgirl, love the view from Mt Everst - breathtaking. Thanks for the link. I use to have that site bookmarked a long time ago. Glad to see it again.

I have finished the Seattle Space Needle. Not getting as many flights in as I'd like lately, though.
