  • October Stability Ball Exercise Sign up and Reporting Thread

    October is almost here! Time to get signed up for the monthly challenge!

    Exercises that count in this challenge include, but are NOT limited to:

    lying hamstring curls
    tricep extensions
    reverse crunches
    lying leg press
    push ups
    jackknife
    stretching
    slow swim
    side plank
    seated leg extension
    bridge ball squats
    1 arm rows
    stability ball exericse tapes/dvd's

    Basically, any exercise that you do, using your stability ball will count.

    Please state how many minutes you are committing to for October, in this thread and then during the month try to check in each time you rack up the minutes.

    doing 325 for september is really on the edge for me. that seems to be the number that has become the challenge so i'll stick with 325 for october.

    i want to get more weight work done. work on the arms a bit more than i have been.

      I am sooooooooo in! Put me down for 500 .......... it will be a stretch but I am trying to stretch myslef right now so ..........

        you do realize there is a difference between stretching yourself and killing yourself, right?

          LOL yep who knows if i can do it I figure 500 minutes is just 25 minutes 20 days of the month so it gives me an error margin of 11 days! I guess we'll see

                  Put me down for 300". I didn't complete this commitment for September but am highly motivated/inspired for October. My goal for right now is to work on getting in the exercise I need!!

                      OK gang, I am all over this and determined to meet goal this month. I had to go out of town for almost 2 weeks and had to leave my ball behind (and I was doing soooo good too)


                      I hope the good news is I'm ready to try it again for October. And I think I found a great package at Costco. They have a fitness package "3 in 1 Ball, The Complete Collection". It includes an 192 pg book, 3 workout DVD's, 26" ball, stretchband and a resistance web to place around the ball. The whole package was $20 and goes into a great amount of detail.

                      So long story short, sign me up for 250 minutes again. Thanks.

                        this sounds so great, kntry! it's alot of bang for buck. i'm not even sure if we have a costco around here. you'd like i'd know but it's not a place i ever shopped. is it a membership club type of store like sams?

                            Yes, Costco is a membership store like Sams. It might be worth checking Sams since they often carry the same things. This package was stacked in the book/computer programs/DVD section.

                            Even without popping in the DVD's yet, I think the book and related equipment is more than worth the price. I knew of some of the things to use the ball with, but No Idea How much!
