      It's a good thing I got up and did my AM workout because the bottom fell out on my evening and I wasn't able to a thing last night! I didn't get up this morning either. aaack! I'm going to hit it with Tae Bo again...full report when I'm done!

        hey Dez i just saw this and it might be the jump start and motivation i need to get back on track, bc ohh ehh fallen off the wagon doesnt describe me, i couldnt tell ya what the wagon looked like!!!

        I pledge to do 3 days a week- turbo jam, hip hop abs, and tae bo are all in my secret stash of workout dvd's.

        I'm scared to hop on the scale....

          stay off the scale for now. It will only kill your spirit if the numbers are worse than you think. Break out that stash and let's do this man!!!

            My gawsh I'm beat down to the white meat!! My new schedule...compliments of the kids going back to school...makes it possible for me to get my morning workouts in at a more decent hour. I am sooooore! I did WATP walk/kick which is walking and her version of kickboxing mixed in. It's a little over 30 minutes I think and trust me when I say that a good sweat was happening. Yahoo I feel awesome this morning! TOM is making me so darn moody though-I want to eat some really bad stuff but instead I am sipping on my freshly made- - -carrot, apple, cucumber, beet juice!

              Well I only did 2 of the 4 workouts this week =(
              I really need to be more driven and make sure to squeeze it in.

                ok today is my first day. Since Dh is home, i was able to get up early this am and to Turbo Jam Cardio Party.. i thought i was gonna die! Its been soo long.
                If the weather is nice and i get home early enough i might go bike riding too.

                    September 4th - PM work out only ~ Tae Bo Amped with the amplifier bar I do the Fat burn accelerator DVD

                    September 5th - AM workout ~ WATP" walk / kick" this DVD combines walking and Leslie's version of kick boxing. It's a little over 30 minutes and it was a a great AM workout. I sweat a bit but not too much.
                    PM workout 30 minutes of aerobics-I have to practice my aerobic routines...

                    September 6th - AM workout ~ full body workout on my stability ball w/exercise ball for added resistance. Yikes!!!!

                    September 7th - REST -

                    September 8th - Bally full body workout for an hour
                    then....
                    2.5 miles on the treddie
                    2.5 miles on the elli machine
                    strength training with a trainer that I had to shadow for school.
                    I'm 2 weeks away from my certification for personal training and I spend Monday's in class and 3 hours at Bally gym working out. This past Monday was extra long for me because I was waiting to shadow the trainer so I kept working out to pass the time.
                    * *that guy is insane!!!! He had the client leg pressing over 200lbs! The weight was more than SHE weighed, and no, she was NOT a body builder. I don't even think she was over 5 feet tall. Ladies...DO NOT be afraid of weights. I am really feeling it today let me tell ya!

                    September 9th - AM work out ~ full body workout on my stability ball w/exercise ball for added resistance- tonight is Tae Bo Tuesday and I plan to do a Boot Camp DVD. My body feels amazing!!

                      Dez, you are such an inspiration. I was just reading your siggy and I was just amazed that you started out at the size I am now (18 to 16) and now flaunt a size 7. How do you get all the energy to work out so much? Between school, work, and taking care of my grandmother I am just about drained everyday. Any tips to help me squeeze in some good workouts?

                        ya know...some days I look at my exercise journals and wonder how I get it all in too.
                        In a single word I'd have to say, sacrifice. I give up lots of TV to workout. I used to be a TV junkie. I knew the television line up and could recite the re-runs of the re-runs of many shows. It was ridiculous and made me lazy. I do catch my favorite shows but you better believe I have a TV and a DVD player in front of my treddie and elli machine. I take my butt to bed at a decent hour at night so I can get up in the morning to exercise-THAT's hard! The winter months are a killer to stay motivated because the basement is cooler and the snooze button is so warm *LOL*
                        I sacrifice buying junk I don't need to buy exercise equipment. We have a small gym in out basement but it didn't come overnight. I'm addicted to buying exercise equipment now.
                        I also stopped trying to be all things to everybody. I have a husband, family, and friends, I will enlist their help with the kids so I can work out in a heartbeat! I spend time with my babies, but they don't need to be up under me 24/7. Besides, I am setting an example for my kids with my fitness habits. My 14 year old, went in the basement to workout on his own last week. The kid was down there for an hour just like I do. he came up, took his shower, and then went on with his evening...JUST LIKE I DO! I was so happy because I know "I" inspired that...little ole' me!
                        It's all about finding that balance. Sometimes you have to create it but it's there trust me. There is ALWAYS time to exercise, you just have to be ready to go for it! Is it easy? Nope...Do I get tired?? Yep... So what do I do, when I do?? I watch TV of course

                          That definetly helped. As a matter a fact I have an hour to work out before it's time to shower and go off to class. I'll get one of my Taebo workouts in =)

                              I found your youtube last night and I have to say that definetly was amazing. I was cracking up about girls not wanting to exercise because they wanted to look cute.

                              When I do my Amped Taebo I can never make it to the very end. So, I was wondering if I did 10 minutes of yoga afterwards if that would help with the lactic acid problem?

                              I did Rockin' abs yesterday and I'll tell you what Billy sure did rock them from what i can feel this morning. But he did have something he said in his work out that really inspired me "We're sculpting and changing our body, as well as our attitude... make them both work"

                              This challenege is amazing Dez. Thanks for having it =)

                                sniff-sniff...I'm getting emotional here.
                                I'm so happy to see you moving along with the challenge. I have been doing Tae Bo since the late 1990's and I'm not even lying when I say that this year was the very FIRST time I made it to the end of one of his workouts. I swear, I didn't think the man understood the meaning of the word cool down. *LOL*
                                Your 10 minutes of Yoga will absolutely do the trick with the lactic acid buildup as long as you don't go right into any relaxation poses. You need to really move your body so you can force fresh blood back to your heart. You'll know when it's happening because you get that really good euphoric feeling or "high" and of course...your joints won't be aching right away. Billy Blanks is a cotton pickin genius and the things he says just pushes me to press on when I often want to give up . Rockin abs huh?? I need to get that one! I just found it on EBay...see what i mean about telling folks what you're doing! I had no idea he had more to his amped series... THANK YOU!!
                                Oh and the chicks I'm talking about just amaze me....but in all fairness I used to be one of them so I can totally put them on blast.
