    SO today is a regular schedualed day off I will be lifting weights today so at least it's somehting I feel like I wanna run but, I want my feet to be better. the milage this week is gunna suck but, next week will be great.

      I've got my runners on here gearing up for my 6 miles I am repeating last week cause I was unable to do my long run GRR. I had a flu shot and also my B12 YAY so I should be feeling pretty great here soon. Thank GOD. And TOM is here which always leads to lack of modivation on my behalf. I will do it however cause I must do it or I'll feel like crap.

      I'll report back when I am done.

        6 miles for me today everything went great I am a bit tired cause of everything good news though my Blister on my right foot is all better the one on the left needs a bit more Work LOL.

          Ok, ok so my training has gone to **** this week I am soo mad but, I will do all right so I went and got myself a dancing tape so that I am doing somehting cause I HATE HATE HATE doing nothing. I did the tape it was 50 minutes do I feel all right it's not running but, at least it's somehting. I also bought new socks with cool max they have the tight gathering in the arch area to prevent rubbing YAY. And damn they were expensive so they better work. GRRR. If they do I'm buying stocks in the company ROFL. I'll be out of running for a few days but, I sure hope to be able to do my long run on Suday.

            Hey I just realized the Marathin I am going to be running I belive it's on May 31st is 2 days before my 30th B day WOOHOO what a B day presant hey. I'll probably be really sore for my B day but, I'm sure it'll be great.

            I ran today YAY, my blister is feeling great got new socks that hug the feet they are very thin and work a lot better then the ones I had. The have a mesh like arch hugger which is cool so the sock doesn't move around on your foot while running COOL.

            I did 6 miles today in 66 minutes and 18 seconds YAY me. Still slow but, hey I'm doing awesome and am sooo proud. It's all about the distance and getting it done at this point I don't wanna break a speed record I just wanna finish so that's my goal.

              Today is weight training I wanna have good full body conditioning. Weight training helps with running so I love to do it.

              I thiink I may alos do an exercise tape as well. So I am going to be doing 4 miles tomorrow and going for 12 On Sunday better get a good movier to watch LOL.

                good for you hey at 11 min a mile you are under 5 hrs for the marathon just think where you will be by May

                not to downplay our strenght training but you got to power every ounce when you are running and less muscle mass in muscles not running wil mean less energy spent carrying dead weight so to speak Ask your trainer if later on say in March you should cut back your nonrunning muscle workouts until after the marathon

                  I am using light weight to keep my conditioning by doing 2 days of weight training per week I am not builing muscle just basically keeping my base. And you're right I was told to quit lifting heavy weights while doing marathin training. My body consultant wants me to do 3 days per week of weight training but, it was getting to be too much and I was burning out so I dropped it to 2 days and feel 10X better. I hope I don't lose a ton of my muscle mass case I really worked hard for it. I don't wanna be a stick but, I don't wanna slow myself down either.

                  I really hope I can finish my marathon in under 5 hours that would be excellent onward with the training.

                    well you could consider your bulked muscles as resistance training while running and then "drop" them off closer to the actual race since you aren't going to be running till MAY

                      Ya that's true, I am likinhg using just the 10 pound weights it's a nice change I use high reps and still get the good burn a lot of time I am still sore for 2 days after lol like when I did the heavy weights. I don't know what to do now LOL.

                        well many folk add weight belts to their torso legs and arms can cause joint injuries. All you are doing with your high reps is increasing that muscles stamina which might be a good thing since you might be using them in your running motion. Check and see what muscles your trainers want tyou to cut down on and which they want you to keep.

                            I ran 4 miles feet feel Fab I ran it in 42.30 WOOOHOO I was going for 40 flat but, I think I am really happy with the 42 minutes that's taking 30 seconds off per mile time YAY.

                            Tomorrow it's the big 12 miles.

                              12 miles today Next week it's 13 and then into the unknown I am excited to go there and press past my dreaded barrier. My legs worked well today and I didn't have much for lactic build up till the end so I upped the pace blew through it and felt pretty good after. I had read somewhere that worked so I tried it. I was very happy did the 12 in 2 hours and 14 minutes YAY.

                                I'm having a bad run of it here if it's not one thing it's a stomach Bug I can't run today I have the runs LOL figuratively speaking Horrible and I feel horrible I hate this I hate being sick. I was sick half the day yesterday and also today so I guess here's to this being my last sick day ACK!!!
