    Okay, you guys are all too funny!!! I had so much more fun during Burn it Up yesterday, cracking up about Stef drying off all the time and Sherry not being able to put her arm up at the end of the resistance bands. It's like the little things you noticed before but didn't really pay attention to until someone points them out. I LOVE IT.

    I know you guys give Debbie a hard time about smiling throughout the workout, but I smile too, it makes it so much easier. I decided maybe it's a throwback to my cheerleading days, when you just smile no matter what.

      Just checking in.
      The computer on the blink yesterday -- something was wrong with the DSL server.
      Anyway, yesterday day was SIU and today will be SIU.

      I'm going to try to put my pics on this forum. I don't have any great body shots unless you all want to see me in my "I can't believe that I look that bad" bikini that I took when I started this whole Atkins thing. I haven't really improved my looks yet, so it will just be my beginning photos.


      I think that Debbie goes and checks on those poor people in each video because she is worn out! BIU, from what I remember, was when those other two really looked like it was kicking their butts.

      I am staying on SIU until I can make it through all of the plies. I did all of the reverse lunges last night and most of the front lunges without any major problems, but my arms still get so tired during the plies.

        Another day of RIU completed. Seems to be getting easier everyday, and I'm getting ready soon for BIU. Hopefully the snail mail is faster from Florida, than from Beachbody.com, eh Barb? I'm gonna try to add in a couple of extra sessions of RIU in the next couple of days, as we're away for the weekend. Do you guys think that's a good idea? Or should I just do alternative exercises for those days?

          BoxerMom - I agree with the subliminal stuff. I HATE exercise and I'm finding Ramp It Up FUN!!!!! I tried doing one of my other videos and I wasn't having any fun - so I think you are right about Beachbody .

          Floydgirl - How's that neck doing? I may have missed it but I haven't heard anymore on that....

          I'm sweating like a pig - just got done with Ramp It Up. I NEVER sweat but today I am just like I've been sitting in 100 degree heat! I'm hoping to get through the ENTIRE video by the end of the week. I still am missing about 4-6 pliets and am having a hard time getting through all the leg lifts but I did do more then my usual 2/3 of them. Those are the real killer for me because I have such big feet for my size. After I get through with those, I find it hard to do the yoga because I can't balance on legs of jello!!! I did make it through ALL of the crunches today!!! Yippeee!!!!!!

                  Well I just finished BIU and I'm a shakey, quivery, sweaty mess. Steph ain't got nothing on my nasty drenched self!

                  Victories for the workout day:
                  *I did every single rep in the 9 minute squat section.
                  *I stuck through the entire first ab section, although I did have to slow down on the double knee pulls (those things KILL ME!).
                  *Lunges - I did EVERY SINGLE LUNGE. I did half of them with the knee up, the last half as straight lunges - on both legs. I did EVERY SINGLE stationary lunge, although I was literally grunting like a weight lifter of Schwarzenegger calibur and cussing the whole time. Lord almighty how they HURT!! I didn't make it through the whole "Hold it down for 8,7,6......" on both legs. LOL I think it was only the first 2 or 3 counts before I screamed UNCLE!
                  *I made it through the whole 2nd ab set without dying. LOL That was a victory for me even if I didn't make all the sets and reps. I did all the oblique crunches, but only did 12 side crunches on each side. My heart rate was WAY up there (182) by that point and I needed to slow down. After my 12 side crunches on each side, I did the arms in front thing to slow down. After that I hung in rep for rep (I like the plie crunches and stuff), and I even three-quarter timed the last set of double knee pulls.
                  *Right leg asscrampers- I did all but 8 of those suckers - and the 8 I missed were on the 3rd exercise - the last fast 8.
                  *Left leg asscrampers- I did all of those sucker but the last fast 8 of the 4th exercise.
                  *I made almost all the pushups!
                  The rest was a breeze and felt fantastic. Overall, a GREAT workout day and I'm glad I did it.

                  According to my heart rate moniter :
                  Duration: 58 minutes 51 seconds
                  In Zone (between 120 and 160 bpm)- 20 minutes 43 seconds (over the majority of the time, ya think?! LOL LOL)
                  Average Heart Rate: 152bpm
                  Max Heart Rate: 182bpm
                  Calories burned: 569 calories.


                  And the bright side? I don't have to do this again until tomorrow and there's only 26 BIUs left.

                      Barb- You were lucky to have the chance to go back to bed this morning. I envy you. What does a gal in Florida consider cold?


                      I must not have done RIU very well this morning. My pain is minimal. I will find out tomorrow if I got something out of today's workout. However, my neck is sore. I never knew how heavy my head was until I started my ab work and I had to lift my melon towards my legs. It doesn't help that it has been 15 years since I did any stomach work.

                          Day 5 SIU complete.
                          I'm staying with SIU until I can do the plies, lunges without stressing.

                            Brook- what heart rate monitor do you have? I just bought one thinking it would show calories burned and it doesnt. I think I'll take it back. Any suggestions on which one to get?

                              RIU and Slim and Limber DONE! (I substituted Slim and Limber for the yoga portion of RIU.) RIU was much easier today, but I think I wasn't going as deep on the legs, since I knew how many of them she was going to make me do.

                              I'm feeling pretty buff after 5 days of this in a row, but I don't _look_ buff yet, unfortunately.

                                I need me some Slim n Limber today. My back is tight, my quads are in pain! Seriously I keep checking for bruises, I have a few on my left quad, is it possible to have brusing from a sore muscle? Everything hurts and I want to losen up before bed so that I can sleep really good and wake up to do BiU tomorrow again.

                                So would It be cool if I dropped down to RiU or SiU or am I stuck with BiU until the end?
