Take is slowly with the knee Sadie... knees are tricky pests and take time to heal. An eliptical sounds good. I share your space problem and don't have anywhere to put exercise stuff, more's the pity... but then the doggies are our treadmills, right? Verrrry effective ones too!

After a day picking olives yesterday (and getting workout and walk in), I'm taking a rest today. More picking looming though, weather permitting.

Have a nice break from routine 2big!

Wow mountains 2big? for some reason I thought you lived in florida, guess i got that wrong LOL. I would love to have a beautiful view from my house.

the view from my house.. just other houses ...though we only live a couple of miles from the lake where there's a beautiful view. the weather is so nice right now I think i may take the dog down to the boardwalk at lunch for my walk and enjoy it today .

if mother had a 2 story house I could see the Smokies every dayout the back, but it is a one story so I can see the Cumberlands every day out the front. the advantage of living on the highest ridge in town

we drove through kentucky and tennessee on our way to florida last year and saw the mountains (i think they were the smokey mountains), that was the nicest part of our trip. the I-75 isn't the most exiting highway to drive for 24 hours so it was nice to see mountains and have a break from all the motel and Crackerbarrel signs..

oops think i've highjacked this thread. i'll stop now LOL.

sorry i have not been in here in such a long time. weeks, i am sure.
i just don't feel like doing anything. i've been climbing the stairs but just as it is required for daily life. there was more than usual as i was getting christmas things from the upstairs to the first floor but no biking, no pushups, no succession in flights.

this is how i was feeling way back when and the result was this start of this thread. was that a year ago???? i need to check and see when this all started. maybe it's a yearly down in the dumps thing for me.

Awwww JimmieJo... don't be blue! Better times are just around the corner for sure!
This is the beginning of such a busy time for everyone, and the prospect of Christmas and all it entails is quite daunting. Understandable for anyone to get those seasonal downs. I know they'll hit me as soon as my trip is over.

Off to the Dolomites tomorrow to check on property up there. Can't seem to spend more than a couple of weeks in one place this year . Still... makes life varied. Would be great if I didn't have a thousand other priorities. Oh well!

Didn't do much exercise this weekend. The fog didn't lift, so haven't even been able to finish the olive harvest and get free exercise that way. Just another job to do on return.

Do keep posting, pals! I think we all need to spur each other along a bit!

Jimmie it's funny you said that..remember both of us were in a bit of a slump last year when you thought of this forum? we'll i'm in one now too..is it the time of year? are we somehow 'exercise slump twins'? LOL

I've barely done anything for the last 2 weeks..as a matter of fact i've been sitting here for 30 mins looking at the dvd player, convincing myself to put my pilates dvd in.

ok. gonna stop typing, going to get up now..and walk over to the dvd player and not the fridge ...i hope...

see, i am not alone. i'm in good company. the goalies that slump together, stay together. lolol we are the slump triplets i guess.
i don't see denise anywhere on this page. are we adding a fourth to this group?

you know what else, sadie? if i remember right you and i were both up a few pounds too. we are both pretty much back to normal, so, that has to be a plus, right?

i'll do something today. i still could finish the push up challenge. i might have to put the ball at my knees again but i would probably have to anyway.

okay then, i'll go get 1/2 the push ups done and maybe some biking. i won't finish that challenge but i can still get some miles in.

                      So how is everyone doing?

I started up my pilates again yesterday, as well as my weights and stability ball, still not back at the gym, if i do go back it will be after xmas, no point in paying now with christmas coming. I'm still trying to get out of my slump. I'm the queen of excuses some days.

Still hoping dh will buy me an eliptical for xmas, though If not i can probably pick one up cheap at the boxing day sales.

I'm having a family xmas party this weekend, so i'm also getting alot of exercise running around and cleaning!

i biked yesterday evening, that is some improvement.
i joined the procrastinators challenge that joan started. i think it might help in a couple areas.
i want to get some flights in today and some weight work but we'll see.

did some arm work with my weights and did 5 minutes doing the exercise of the day.

Me too! Me too! Ummmm... tomorrow. This trip dealt my exercise a horrid blow....far too much driving around in the car! But back home now and the dogs have booked me for tomorrow morning... so back to the grindstone for me also!

Thanks for missing me Jimmie. I'm not here for the same reason every body falls off...I'm not doing it!!! Winter just sucks. I have a LOT of life going on too, just started a new job and DH did too, and will be traveling a lot, and boys getting bigger...no excuses...but something always gets the short end

Benji demands his "ups" though. We stand in front of the mirror and I lift him from my waist level to chest level 5-6 times, and then push him out at chest level 2-3 times. He's just getting so BIG! And Nicky and I do airplanes to work my legs and tummy. And that's it But, my new job's on my feet...maybe that will help...

Thanks for checking up. I do read you all, every day Glad at least a couple are staying the course

                                Hugs to all,
                                Denise
