i got the same problem sadie,
i seem to have gained a couple of pounds, sticking right at 125 or 126 now. i know stress and hormones can do this and have done this in the past with me. i've also been working out more. adding some things and taking on too much in some of the challenges.
the pants still feel good though and the skinny ones, the 4's are fitting just fine.

i joined the spark site you mention. the exercise of the day that they have posted is from the site that dotsamantha provided! who knew! maybe it's all owned by the same people.

i will be doing flights today. jack will probably finish his mountain today and he'll be on to the next one.

wow I hope everybody had a great weekend. I so enjoyed my day off. I did my HIIT today and tried out my new small fitness ball for my hand while doing my ball pushups. man is that a lot of core muscle work to stabilize and not kiss the padded floor.

my knees are loving the prednisone but I know the scales aren't going to. I'm closing my eyes next Friday at the docs.

I finally found the nest and it is in the back yard in the hole where the spicket comes out of the wall so why one attacks me when I mow the front and not the back is beyond me.

Glad you are doing better Sadie.

the 4s fit and you are heavier? looks like you have4 done morphed that body and added some more lean body mass while dropping your body fat % even lower Jimmie Jo. woo hoo.

Hey Sal my brother arived and said so far it is everything he thought it would be. I told him about your joking about the olive picking and pressing and he said they would have loved to have come for that. they have tastings of the presses in Ca at that olive place.

Hey friends. Hope all is well. Jimmie, good job on your sticing to exercise, and your attitude too. Hey Sadie, good to see you inthe main forum too.

2big, LOL at the bees. Sorry. It's not really funny...kind of ironic though. Like they tracked you down. We were at the park on the BEAUTIFUL Sunday afternoon, and had bees EVERYWHERE. Benji was in the stroller though, and they positively SWARMED him. He and I hung out by the sandbox instead of by the food then! We are doing super on staying active, we've been walking together in these great evenings too. I know I don't get my heart rate high enough to really burn fat, but I think it's ok for now. They are still doing resistance with me almost every night, and often some dancing too. Benji esp loves it. They MAY need therapy for it someday...but they'll never remember a fat momma
What is it, a RACE? It's coming off, right????

motherhen, aka 2big, requested my precense. lol nice for her to think of me ......... i think.

i'm doing okay, just busy getting things ready for the weigh? no way! challenge. we have so many newbies ready to do this! also things are a bit busy board wise with some other projects. 2big, you know me too well and yes some other challenges have been floating around my head.

exercise is good. i managed to complete the challenges i was in for september. i backed off on the biking challenge number this month. maybe i said all that already? what day is this? where am i? lol

i suppose the biggest news with me is that i dropped back some carbs and i'm in ketosis. small according to the bottle chart, but ketosis none the less. trying to refigure my critical number. also, trying to stop the weight gain. i've been sticking to around 30 carbs. mostly all i have done is took some items out of the regular eating menu, namely the bread, peanut butter, dry roasted peanuts and the low carb ice cream. none of these by themselves, ever gave me a problem but maybe the combination along with some other issues is just not a good thing. at any rate, i'll see if i can't get rid of the pounds. don't want anything sneaking up on me!

              thanks for being concerned, motherhen!

I did my gym time today and am looking for a yard replacement workout for free. I bug guy treated the nest but then pointed out we have red wasps in the front yard bumble bees and real honey bees too so I will not be able to play out there until it gets cold and the flowers die. Looks like all the plans for Mother's garden will just have to wait.

wow Jimmie Jo that is a lot of changes
Have you gotten your lean body mass checked to see if in fact those are muscle pounds with all the workiouts since your teeny tiny pants still fit? Those would be good for you pounds to add. Don't forget if you cut back your exercise your CCLM will lower too. Mine will go from about 120 when I'm full out working out to about 45 when i have to cut back to just treadmilling.

haven't done any checking of things, 2big. keeping my stats journal has been a very good thing though. i can clearly see the amount of exercise and there haven't been too many days lately that i didn't do anything. so i do think the gain could be muscle. i am cool with that. i still have the bug in my brain though that says a certain weight is a must. that's why i am not freaking too badly. i also was taking meds for the hormonal headache i am dealing with. there have also been some stressful moments in the past couple of weeks. all of these thngs combined are the reasons for the weight gain. i am just trying to simmer myself down, get back in the groove.

i was eating a tremendous amount of carbs and not gaining. just working it all out. i was getting a bit addicted to the peanut butter sandwiches anyway. lol

I hear you on that certain weight thingie Jimmie Jo as i raced past healthy for me goal weight and struggled to 5 more months trying to get to that scale number weight every chart and site said was my ideal weight. if not for the body fat % measurement saying i was underweight I'd still be stuggling to get to that 163 pounds all of them say is my max healthy weight

I was referring to your post about cutting back your biking this month when i posted about lowering the CCLL cause of cutting exercise not any thing you have done in the past.

addicted to PB sandwichs!?! LOL I had a pb apple last night and was thinking at the time I could eat the whole bowl of these and very glad they were Mother's apples not mine.

i love the stuff!!! and on apples ..... what a teat! although i haven't had an apple in ages. WARNING TO NEWBIES! THIS AIN'T INDUCTION FREINDLY! DON'T GO THERE!!!

lower the biking won't hurt. what will happen is the stair climbing will pick back up. doing 167 miles last month really ruined the pledging flights. i am not really cutting back, but getting things in order so i can do all the challenges and make progress in all of them, not just one.

2big you are too funny about your small success. Did momma HIDE the keys or mislay them? I ask because Benji "put away" my keys in the silverware drawer this weekend. Goofs

Work walk today. Might be our last really nice one

I too LOVE PB apples. I usually cut the apple for the kids and they get half and I get half. Works out well. I also love PB on carb counter bread...but I've noticed my veggie consumption way down since adding back grains to my regular patterns, and I'm not crazy about that. May still have some tweaking to do on long-range eating patterns.

                        TT you all soon

okay you are shifting your exercise but keeping the same amount total for you. that makes better sense

I know peanuts have a different make up then other nuts cause they are a legume but that is the only "nut" I have issues with. I can make almond butter eat it on an apple and be very happy and not want any more but the dang PB calls my name from Mother's pantry and it screams my name every time I eat it. I had to put it on the floor shelf so I didn't see it when I get her stuff ou to fix her meals and snacks. I'm fine watching her eat her bagals and Bryers Icecream by the box but that PB oh how I wish she didn't like it.

Sally now I know why he went this time of yr if they are picking grapes and making wines. I bet every vineyard in italy is on his to do list. Ever since he took a wine tasting class in the 80s he has been very into wine things. He rcommends this very expensive stuff for my only wine cooking recipe and I have to laugh. when I ask the store fellow for a bottle of dry to cook with those names never come up. Now if he was coming to visit i might have to use one of those bottles.

no, she sees keys, purses or wallets, dental floss toothbrushes anything basically i forget to put away and thinks they are hers and puts them up safely but cause of the Alzheimer she neither remembers doing it nor where thewy are and gets mortified if you ask to look in her room for them which is where they always are. After my Dad died we found over 3000 dollars she had hid as 20s in various places in her room and she had no idea they were there as she claimed her cash was in her glass dish on her dresser where she always keeps it. Unless she has so hidden something of hewrs she can't find it after she searches for it I usually don't bother her room so she doesn't get upset I'm stealling from her cause she can't find something.
I have ben quietly looking for those keys since last Wednesday. I had to convence her we couldn't go swimming unless we found the keys to the red car. She has rearrainged stuff in her room so much i couldn't even figure out where her underware drawer is but I finally found the keys wrapped up in papper stuffed in a toiletpaper roll in a clutch purse in the fire box in the closet. I found lots of fingernail clippers and chapsticks too but I'm sure by now they are rehidden as i've heard drawers opening and closing all morning since we got back from the gym.
have you looked at getting a specail exercise video you can do with both your kids? I know they have lots of little kiddie ones but even an adult one would be great to share time and instill exercise as a way of life for them. I can remember as a little kid doing Jack LaLanne tv show workouts with my Mother when I was only 2. And my foster kiddies ages 3 and 4 loved doing the pilates for dummies video when I tried that one out.

I've been bad with the exercise this week, I spent the weekend stripping wallpaper and painting my bedroom..woke up monday and every muscle in my body was screaming...so i'm taking a rest week. Am walking though...the dog makes sure of that . I may do some pilates for the next few days though.

On the peanut butter, it's my biggest vice! I have to really measure it and limit myself, or i'll just keep eating it and never stop..i could swim in a pool of the stuff and not get sick of it! LOL.

I've actually been buying walnuts to satisfy my nut/pnut butter cravings lately. They're apparently really good for you, and i find I really don't overeat them as much as i do peanut butter and other nuts.

Interesting you guys mentioned apples, I hadn't really added back apples , but was craving them recently, so i figured i would pick some up when i shop tomorrow. what are the best kind to get, I'm thinking granny smith since they are tart?

I never really added back alot of fruits besides berries, and I really should have, I may try grapes as well.

apples and peanut butter. ......mmmmmmmmmmm ... this is killing me here!!! lol

i haven't been much of an apple eater........ unless the wedges are of course smeared with pb. we like the braeburn variety.

Braeburn has high impact flavor. The crisp, aromatic Braeburn blends sweetness and tartness just right for snacks and salads. It's also good in baking, applesauce and for freezing. Braeburn color varies from greenish-gold with red sections to nearly solid red. Braeburn was discovered as a chance seedling near Nelson, New Zealand in 1952. Its probable parents are Lady Hamilton and Granny Smith.

i loved adding grapes and i'm still buying strawberries. i have a pack of blueberries in the freezer that will probably not last much longer in there. my favorite fruit is cherries! can't afford them most of the time but i love cherries!

                                did my HIIT today

Well I can tell you if you want a cooking apple then the granny smith would be fine but if you want an eting one you will need to decide what flavors you are looking for and do you want a crunch.

Mother has fallen in love with gala apples after eating red delicious her entire life.
The Gala apple blends modern and old-fashioned parentage. It is aromatic with a very sweet flavor and crisp and firm texture. This variety has Cox's Orange Pippin, a wonderful old-fashioned English favorite, and both Red and Golden Delicious in its family tree. It ripens early and keeps well
If I peel it and she doesn't know she will eat the braeburn but the colors in the peel turn her off.
I like to get small apples all varieties I haven't found one I don't like. I get the smallest ones I can find cause you know how hard it is to keep a cut one fresh and I know even though it is better to waste it then waist it it still burns me to feed Mother's wild life the rest of my food I paided good money for.
and if you are still afraid of the fruit you can cut off a hunk of jiccama and eat it like an apple. I loved that during induction and OWL before I got to the fruit rung.
Oh jimmie jo I hear you on those cheeries. $5 a pound here during the season is enought to make me want to plant a cherry tree and fight the birds and animals for a few.
