    Heavens! You guys are all so awesome! I really admire the way you are soooo dedicated to exercising. I just plod along doing my regular stuff. It's as much as I can do lately to get the exercise out of the way in the early mornings so that I can concentrate on various work projects, which typically all seem to have reached a 'critical' stage at the same time! Would like to jazz the exercise up a little though, when other things calm down a bit.

    Anyway... no Jimmie, can't say I've signed up for the situp challenge. Is it too late? I do about 60 situps as a part of my regular morning workout... don't know how that compares to everyone else's. Could increase those a bit, perhaps.. for a challenge.

    And Jimmie...sorry to hear your move is getting to you so much. Know all about moves, and how they can do that. Nothing more traumatic than uprooting, physically, mentally and often emotionally too, especially if you're facing things on your own, right now. Hang in there! And.. if you want to write a saga... of course we'd all read it with interest... and empathy!

    Sadie, you're right... denim doesn't lie. Like the idea of going by 'clothes feel' rather than the lying old scale... but it must have been hard to give up the weighs. Good for you!

      hey, you know this place...it's never too late to sign up for a challenge. it only started yesterday anyway. there are 2 threads in the exercise challenge forum. one for signing up and the other to report the days situps/crunches. i would say go for it. it isn't a comparison to anyone else. lady is trying to do 1500 and carol just put in that she would try for 540. if you are already doing 60 then a challenge might be to add 10 or 15 each time.

        25 minute run, weights, and 75 situps! Pretty good for a girl who was making excuses not to exercise today!


        I had forgot i bought a new sony mp3 player..makes my runs a bit more bearable!

                  Ran 20 mins today..which is pretty good for me, it was -9c when i ran!

                  Have to go into the office tomorrow but i've promised myself i will get up and run first thing in the a.m...it will have to be early..i have a 50 mile drive ahead of me.

                        Heavens Sadie... that's even colder than the weather I've been walking in! (-6°). Brrrrrrrrrr.... Good for you hun! I bet that put a bloom on your cheeks! I get an icicle drippy nose in cold weather (ugh!).

                        Did my stuff today bright and early (groans)... as I've an 8.15 meeting. Meant getting up at 4.50!!! Never again!

                        Oh... and I joined the situp challenge too!

                          yippee for sally!!!!! how many did you say you would do? some of those girls are really pushing it, like 150 or 200 a day i think. my tummy muscles hurt from doing it 3 days in row! lol

                            woo hoo goalies and situp challengers too.

                            Jimmie they soreness should be fsading after day 3 as your tummy gets stronger. you are going to be amazed how fast you can add more bout 5 a session more per week

                            Did my gmy this moring woo hoo if was a great workout and got to play inthe snow we got as a surprize present last night not on the roads just on the land cars and trees beutiful.

                              justright, i had been doing crunches for quite some time but every other day and then i really slacked off during the last 6 week challenge. i was doing other things and i can sure tell the difference now.

                                Wow Jimmie... 150/200 is great. Real Amazons! I've upped mine to 70 per day for the challenge... but hope to up that again at the end of the month.

                                2big... I'm sure playing in the snow and making snowmen (nice slim Atkins snowmen, of course!) burn lots of cals!
