Re: Sarah's Bodybuilding 101 for week of March 6th

As for your HR range everyone is sooo different I tend to be a bit higher then normal you know if you feel good doing it I don't see a problem if your HR is higher if you get palpitations and feel chest pains or winded then it's too much also dizziness is a good sign you are overdooing it.

As for weight I would ahve a set of Dumbells the Quick adjust ones are awesome highly recommended mine go from 5 lbs to 25 lbs, or you can go from 5 to 25 in the Hand weights or Just get the ones with Plates a little more screwing around but they are good. A Barbell is also really good to have, it would be good if you could have enough weight to go up to at least 100 LBS cause your legs are very strong. If not go to 50 lbs for now and buy more as you need them.

At home I have a decline bench adn also a flat weight bench I also have a universal gym. I need to buy more plates for my legs though so I use my Universal mostly for that.

I sure hope that helps you girl.

                    Hi,
I am new to site and was wondering if I could join your group. I have started lowcarbing but not doing so well with it. I feel that if I join an exercise group I could really do much better.

                    Thanks,
                    Sherry

Thank you jasmain and sarah I am very excited about starting I have free weights, bench and a treadmill and I am also a member of a gym; so getting access to equipment is no problem. so could someone please tell me what i need to do or where to find more detailed instructions., i.e how long to do cardio--and type of equipment to use. i am so excited. i really want to loose weight. And one other thing==how many grams of carb can i safety work out on.without getting tired or inferring with weight loss.

Re: Sarah's Bodybuilding 101 for week of March 6th

I have Worked out on Induction Carbs I am at 30-40 grams right now myself when you get lethargic and such when you start it's most likely your body adapting to using your fat stroes for energy something it's not used to doing.Your body is used to Quick easy energy Carbs and it takes a bit of adapting for your body to adjust but, when it does you will find you have more energy then you ever have.

There is a post at the Beginning of this Thread that has a beginner Program all ya need to do is Pick out exercises and you are good to go. We do 3 sets of 12 for each body part in the beginning, most of the ladies here were just starting so PLEASE read the first post on this Thread it's VERY IMPORTANT. I will help you along to the best of my Ability it's easier if I was there with you but, I do my best to explain things to you so that you can get to your Body goals.

These are some great sights you can check out that give you some basic exercises for you Body.

All of these are excellent informative sights.

We will be starting a NEW thread I am going to be Copying and Pasting the first Thread of this one Over to the Next cause I feel it's extremely Important.

I think Jas is Just about ready to start the next Program so After this next week I will have a second program she will be following in the Start Thread. Each workout Program is 6 weeks long, I stomngly advise you to follow each program for the full 6 weeks.

Joy and Jas are already noticing considerable results in a short amount of time I am sooo Proud, Jennifer is just starting and You 2 will be in and around the same start time which is cool.

As for Cardio Do what you can the best thing to do, as you get to where you feel comfortable try interval training basically it's set up in a 20 minute blast it's high intensity and it gets your heart pumping. REMINDER: If at any time you feel dizzy sick light headed anything out of ordinary STOP what you are doing IMMEDIATELY!!

A typical Interval training session will have a 3 minute warmup followed by short 1-2 minute burts of speed or incline followed by 2 minutes slow down and so on for 20 minutes if this is too short you can increase to 30 minutes and so on.

I hope this helps you have a wonderful day.

                            Sarah

QUESTIONS: What is the new thread going to be named and be for? Where will it be? I'm starting week 5 this next week. I still have week 5 and 6 left.

I did my situps today, other than that it is my one scheduled day off, yay!
