Ran a 5k in the am, 23:44 that's a PR by over a minute and earned me second place out of six people in my age bracket. Got a little medal. Very cool.

Pulled the Sunday long run ahead a day in order to make sure I get it in with a very hectic schedule tomorrow. 14 miler in at about a 10:40 pace. Nice and easy.

Looking at running another half marathon on June 3rd.

Getting runs in is becoming automatic, no thought required. No struggle to get out.

I am focused on achieving my Chicago goals.

14 mile long run done a day early. Weather was cool and cooperative. May get rain tomorrow.

5 miles in. 33 for the week. Just one more week of training before starting the Hal Higdon Intermediate II marathon schedule. It's 18 weeks long and will lead me right into the Chicago Marathon.

5 miles in, real hot. Slowed down to just over 10 minute per mile pace. Waited til after 7pm to get started.

Ran the two 4 mile runs for the next two days today. Have stuff going on tomorrow, so I just ran 8 miles today. 84 degrees at 9pm. Ugh.

5 miles in. Upper 80s and high humidity. Felt like running with a plastic bag over my head. Tomorrow is the Dexter to Ann Arbor Half Marathon. Forecast shows that there could be thunderstorms in the morning. We'll see...

Dexter to Ann Arbor Half Marathon today - 2:02:36. Breathing and legs were good. The weather was hot, humid, and rainy. The course was hilly as advertised, including an uphill finish. All in all, very successful. Almost 18 minutes shaved off the half I ran on April 1st.

5 miles in sub 45 minutes. Felt good on this first run after the half marathon. Also, hit the gym today at work before running.

3 miles in. Nothing like a short mid-week run to brighten the spirits. Temps in the low 70s and sunny. It's rained for a week straight prior to today. Very uplifting. Took it easy at about a 9 min/mile pace.
