How much are you eating Sarny?
I run regularly without problems. And my carb intake is pretty low. But I get plenty of fat and proteins.

It was one year ago today that I had my left foot operated on and had the implant put in ... hard to believe 9 months ago I could barely walk, let alone run. I can truthfully say its my absolute LOVE for running and undaunted resolve that has me back logging 30-35 miles every week !

Thank heavens for a great podiatric surgeon !

That is a special anniversary. I sure remember those pictures. How amazing it all turned out. Congratulations. So are you pretty much pain free now?

I am pretty much, pain-free now, Liv ... well let's just say much more so than I've been since 2006! I'll never have the range of motion in the left foot as I do in the right, but at least I can run ... and for that, I'm grateful. It was a horribly painful surgery, but like most things, it has to get worse before it can get better !!

After a run of 5 or more miles on concrete, it lets me know its still there ... but I beat it into submission and git-r-done!!!

The surgeon told me that the implant could last anywhere from 2-10 years ... I am running cautiously and hoping to get to 10 before I need something done again....

that sounds great!!! I would love to do it! I havent started running but I want to. If nobody else wants to I atleast will challenge myself to try to work up to running atleast 3 miles a day. I havent gotten on the treadmill in months but its time I get myself in shape. I'll be reading the threads on running here for the best way to get started and tips to help me reach my goal.

Wow what a month! Im finally home in Virginia and gotten over the flu. Im back full blown on Atkins and I exercised yesterday for the first time in a month!

I was so excited because I could actually run outside instead of on my treadmill. So I did two laps around the lake. I can tell you that it is much harder running outside. But two laps comes to 3 miles plus the walk to get there and get back home so it would be about 3.5 miles.

Im proud of myself for finally getting back on track and being able to run two times around the lake after being away for a month.
