    Sunday, 6/28: 9.3 mile run in 91 degree heat and humidity thick enough to choke a frog. Running in Tampa Florida in late June is not for wimps.

      I dont think I could ever run in heat like that ttdriver - here in Abu Dhabi it is 104 C !!! I run on the treadmill and keep the a/c as cold as possible and Im still sweatn like crazy. I just dont do well in heat, lol so it is really awesome that you can run that distance in florida heat!!!

      well, liv if I ever do make it to 10k I really think its gonna be my limit too. Today june 29th I did 9.1 kilos.

        Thanks, whereami! The heat isn't as bad to run in as the humidity...it just grabs ya by the throat and won't let go !

        Today's run was 8 miles and I was totally wasted by the time I finished. I honestly believe now that I am too tough to kill.

            So I got a sore throat on wednesday so i took a break yesterday but today i feel better.

            I actually tried something different today. I was reading about HIIT so I tried it for 30 minutes today Friday July 3rd.

            I did 3 minutes on 4km/hr then 3 minutes on 10km/hr and alternated for 30 minutes. It was kinda hard. I finished really sweaty and kinda tired. As far as distance its nothing -- 3.30 kilos but maybe its better for fat burn? Im not sure but it was something different.

              I think it is good to shake things up. I can get quite comfortable just jogging along so I have to force myself to put some more effort into things once in a while. I think that sounds great.

              I ran two consecutive days last week and this and came to the conclusion I have to stop doing that. I really need that rest day in between. Did a nice slow relaxing 10 K today.

                Ok today I did the HIIT again for 30 minutes....a measly 3kilos but I worked hard so I guess its cool lol.

                yeah i came to that conclusion liv that I can't do it everyday -- I have more energy and feel better when I work out every other day. Our bodies NEED that rest.

                      uggg it rained and was goofy today. Did not get out for a run in the morning. So did a lunch time one - on the track inside. Did not run that far 5 K but I tried to give some push.

                          Cool whereami - I kind would suggest you mix it up by doing a longer run in between here and there too.

                                If your HIIT is easier than you 9 K - you need to push it a bit
                                I am not saying that I manage to work out hard every day because I don't but the time I do spend on it I would like to count most of the time.
