Pop culture definition of "Lollipop Head": People who have stick-like figures and appear to have larger-than-life craniums. (Think Calista Flockhart & Terri Hatcher.)

To clean corrosion from battery terminals,
      • Pour a can of carbonated soda (brand name intentionally withheld) over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
      • Mix (brand name intentionally withheld) Baking Soda and water making a paste and apply to corroded battery terminals. Remove with a toothbrush.

White toothpaste or crushed wet aspirin makes a great filler for nail holes in walls. It can be painted over when dried.

what a bunch of susie homemakers we have!

when you get a grease stain (or any stain as far as i know) you can use Fast Orange hand cleaner to get it out. get the gritty kind in the little tub, not the liquid pump stuff. just dab a little on the spot and gently scrub with an old toothbrush. when the stain is gone, dab with a damp cloth. i use this remedy all the time for carpet stains. a fella at church got black grease on his white shirt and i told him this rememdy and viola! the grease was gone.

I'll have to try this. I got a grease stain on one of my shirts I wear to work, and no, I don't work as a mechanic. I've tried lots of different stuff. Maybe this is the answer to my prayers.

make sure you get the gritty Fast orange. not the pump and other brands don't seem to work. walmoart use to carry it and you can find it at most automotive parts stores.

This one is a question.... my son works as a cook (while going to cooking school) and I can't get the smell of food out of his clothes. Any good hints, I have tried baking soda in the rinse water and vinegar in the rinse water. Any good home remedies for this????

Mom swears tomato juice will take away any odor, even skunk!

But then you have to get out the tomato...

Actually, I've never tried this. I just spray with Fabreeze and then air it out, whatever the odor was caused by. There are a lot of odor-eliminator products out for strong and objectionable odors; this is just one that works well for fabrics, carpet and upholstery.

In the past, I've put cornstarch on greasy stains to absorb it and leave it in the hamper until ready to wash. It's worked so far.

they sell a product in the hunting section of stores that will get the human scent out of clothes (for hunting purposes). this isn't a home remedy per se, but might work.

Not a home remedy but they sell Borax in the laundry section, that is what I used when I worked in a seafood restaruant where they fried everything and also when I worked in a steak house that grilled everything on mesquite! Here is a pic of one brand of it
