    i was busy with some other things today and i know lauren has been too. i want to say how proud i am of you guys for taking on this challenge. not only are you on a path of smaller body size but you are attempting something that may be even harder to do: quitting smoking!

    I CONGRATULATE EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU FOR TAKING THIS ON!

      Today has been a lot better than yesterday. I guess because I was at work I had a lot more to distract me from the withdrawal..

          Now that nikki is on vaca I am feeling a little lonely here with my non-smoking life. Maybe I should go try to drum up some more business in the mainforums.

              another thing you could do is get the list of folks trying to do this and send out a pm of encouragement. find some funny things on the www to send them. takes up your bordom moments and you'll be doing a good thing for the quitters.

                  i screwed up on my diet bigtime this weekend...so im adding another week of induction, and im not really sure if im ready to quit just yet...If I promise to lay off when I'm done with induction will you guys hold me to it? I have had a hard time sticking with the diet (sometimes its GREAT, some days I just want to cheat sooo bad!) and I want to wait until that becomes more stable I guess...where I KNOW I won't even be tempted to cheat, then I will lay the cigs down. What do you all think?

                      72 hours smoke free. I need to stay off the scale though because all these cheat is doing some pretty heavy duty damage and I amstarting to feel really down on myself about my eating. And I am not only cheating with low carb foods either. Today my cheats were small slice of carrot cake, sweet pickle relish, a cookie, sugar free ice cream, real coffee with cream (32 oz), a low carb bar A 20 oz diet coke with splenda(love that stuff BTW), a 20 oz rasberry dasani water.

                      As you can see my eating is completely out of control. I might as well just go to mcDonalds and eat whatever the **** I want there. To top it all off TOM is on the way so I know I am retaining water but how much of this crap is actually packing on the pounds and how much is just water retention? Who the heck knows. All I know is that I have consumed waaay to much crap today, I feel like crap and my scale says crap. Anyway I am not really in a bad mood just disappointed in myself. Quitting smoking is so much easier than controling ones eating.

                              Well, I finished the book. It's come down to my "final cigarette" moment. On one hand I'm excited but I still have some fear there and I'm re-reading the book again while trying to decide when to have the last cigarette. This morning I woke up and thought to myself "I've gone 8hrs without a cigarette and I feel fine." With every cigarette I'm really concentrating on how horrible they taste and how great it will be to be free but I'm not sure on how to go about that final cigarette. What did the rest of you do? Did you pick a time and day or did it just happen? Should I have that final cigarette at night before bed and tell myself that tomorrow is a glorious new day because I will wake up a non-smoker? Sigh. Maybe I read the book too slowly and took too long.

                                Have that final cig. befor bed so when you wake up you have 8 hours under your bed. Remember its only about 2 days and the withdrawl will be over. You will still need to fight the habit but it will be easier
