I've been embarrassed to write about my week after all your positive reports. It has been steadily down hill with uncontrolled (uncontrollable?) carb binging - even worse than the two weeks before I started again on Jan. 1 with induction. And this after two years of not "cheating" one single time! I weighed myself this morning - 156 lbs. - a gain of 9 pounds since Jan 11 - and the 147 had already been a gain of 11 pounds since Dec. 12. So much for New Year's resolutions! Yesterday I couldn't even hook on my bra and button my (big) trousers. :help

            Sorry to hear Marji :hug

Is there anything we can do to help get you back on track?

Can you put your finger on what starts you off? A particular situation or maybe a 'legal' food that sparks off the cravings? I read here someone found celery a trigger for cheats :yikes

Sometimes just working that out can help you to avoid the situation or at least plan to avoid the consequent binge!

Or maybe posting your menus each day here would help you stick to planning your eating?

If you prefer to PM one of us instead and just talk about things please feel free to do that too :hug
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

              Hi Marji,

              #1 Don't beat yourself up.

#2 Put on your detective hat and try to figure out what is going on. What triggered this? A food, an emotion, a combination? Maybe those 2 weeks before you restarted Induction triggered old food cravings and additions.

Be analytical not judgemental. Are you taking your supplements? Are you eating enough? Are you try to cut calories and fat instead of just carbs? Are you drinking your water? Do you need to purge your kitchen? if you can't do a full purge because of family can you at least purge your trigger foods?

Maybe you would like to post a days food diary for advice or PM to one of us.

Food additions can be very powerful and difficult to overcome. I'm so glad you came here and asked for help.

              :hug :hug :hug :hug :hug

never feel embarrassed to write about anything marji, especially the 'liittle slip ups'.. cos most of us have been there at one time or another.
Its coming here in times like those that helps us get back on track and to try and get down to the bottom of "why" do we do it.
Michelle and ellizellen have both suggested ways to figure out what went wrong and i hope this helps you get some perspective on things :hug
Pesi congrats to you too on getting in bootcamp and loosing inches....thats great girl :joy :joy :joy

Sounds good to me, Roshan. I would be happy to do it.
Unless anyone is on a 'no weigh' period let's all do just that!

But if anyone would rather not weigh till a certain date (either for a challenge or because you suspect slow losses or yoyyo weight might get you down) please stick to that and we will all have a lovely surprise when you do weigh!!

Nice to hear from you Kelley - sorry about your computer troubles but glad to see you here today :wave

                      • Just dropping in to give my stats for this week.

                        Weight: 225
                        Bust: 47 1/2
                        Waist: 44
                        Hips: 50 1/2

No lost in weight this week, but my TOM is about 2 weeks late this month so my body is holding on to water in a bad sorta way. I did go down 2 inches in my waist so I'm thrilled about that. Hope everyone had a good week!
