Hi everyone,
I just caught up on the back mails. For some reason I was not notified when replies were posted and I became silent after my weight went up to 152 (from 147) although I have been exercising considerably more than the past six months. I am still in the rehab clinic. So last Monday (They weigh me every Monday) I decided (with a heavy heart) to tell the kitchen chef not to give me any cheese or heavy cream. I also did not eat any avocados. I am getting enough fat and calories with the meat portions and olive oil in the leafy green/tomato/cucumber/raw zucchini I get every noon and evening. I weighed in at 149 this morning, so that definitely helped. I wonder if I should make the leafy green/tomato/cucumber/raw zucchini portions smaller. I am definitely eating big portions of them, but they are really the only source of carbs that I am getting - other than the vinegar I include with the oil. Or do you think it would be better to cut down the meat portions to reduce the calorie intake? For breakfast I continue to get 2 hard boiled eggs and meat, mostly cold lean pork roast slices. Any advice? I am up to 30 minutes on the ergometer at 55 watt and 40 minutes aqua jogging and 15 minutes at a time walking at a decent speed with crutches.
It was great to read about your successes and see how great you look, Eli.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that I am still around. Between me and the kids, we've had quite a bit of sickness lately but we are on the way to recovery. My current weight is 210 and I seem to have finally broke the ups and downs that I have been going through since being in the hospital in early March. For some reason my weight was yo-yoing up and down although I was eating the same as always. I guess my body just had to readjust from being so sick and run down. I hope everyone is doing good. I finally got back into size 16s and size large shirts this weekend so I'm very greatful and excited. I plan on posting new pics one day this week.
Happy lo-carbing to all!
Ashlie

:wave Hi Marji, :wave Hi Ashlie,
I'm glad you are both doing better and are back at
ha. I had a bad patch of cheating but today I can finally say I have been cheat free for two full days with plenty of water in. My exercise is good as well. So I'm back on track.
Marj: Maybe you should post a few menues to have the experts check them. You might want to try measuring portions for a while as well. DH keeps a measuring cup on the counter to make sure we alway measure my veggies. 2 cups at lunch, 1 cup at dinner.Michelle,

Boy did I create a lot of exercise for myself. Tonight my class is writing a final exam in Operations Management. The exam is in the computer lab and the students will use a special software package to answer 15 problems. For each problem they will printout one or more reports. Since this is an exam they can't leave their seats so I have to pick up the reports off the printer and bring them to each students dest.
15 students, 15 problems, 1 or 2 reports per problem = A LOT OF WALKING FOR THE PROF!!!

Hi Dee :wave
Good to see you back :hugWondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!
