Liz (and all other challenge participants),

I'm actually going to bow out of the challenge because I'm not weighing until February. I know I'll get my 3300 minutes of exercise, that's no problem. I've just been wayyyyyy too obsessed with the scale and need to start refocusing on how I look and feel rather than a number...

      Thanks!

I'd like to join this challenge! Although I'm "only" trying to lose 80 pounds (although I might up that to 85-90 as I get closer to goal), I tend to lurk in the Century Club because it's where I find the most motivation. My current weight is 167 (size 18 ). My goal weight for the start of spring is 147 (size 14?). I'm hoping to do at least 2000 minutes of exercise, but I'm going to pledge to do at least 1500. Thanks for a great challege - I need it!!

I got my 30 minutes in today....I know it doesnt seem like alot but for someone who was pretty sedentary (seated work) it was an accomplishment for me. Ohh and by the way my work is about to change, no more seated work I just got a job on my husbands construction site with the general contractor and no it isnt an office job.
I get to wear a hard hat and everything.....LOL!

I am down two more pounds today, which is exciting even if it is just some water weight, I see a differance in my face already with only four pounds gone in the last three and a half days.
I have a queston. If I meet my goal for the entire challenge, do I have to do an equal part each week or can I start out slowly and add as I go on ??
Right now I have a lot of pain in my back, sciatica and my feet bother me a lot too, but from past experience in just a few weeks they will be much better. So, if I am not doing as much now, but over the course of the challenge manage to do what I pledged, is that okay ??? If not, I will have to drop out because right now, I cannot walk much or do much, 5 to 15 minutes in a day probably, although I will try for more. I do know, again from past experiences that it does not take me much time to build it back up once the pain starts to go away, so I would like to stay in the challenge if I can, but understand that if I cannot show so much a week it does not count and disqualifies me. I am moving as much as I can, but usually in little spurts, a few arm lifts here and leg lifts there and walking in place for a minute or so here and there as I go about my day, but I do not want to push the back pain because once I push it to hurt, I have to take my ibuprophen and it makes the rest of my day miserable.
              Thanks,
              Stephie

Hey Stephie! First I'd like to say CONGRATULATIONS on the 2 pounds lost! That's GREAT!

As for the exercise, you have pledged a certain number of minutes to complete over the course of the challenge. While it would be ideal to spread the minutes out over the next 11 weeks I know there will be days we just can't for one reason or another. As long as you reach your minutes I don't care in what increments you do them. Give your feet and back a rest and then when you feel up to start adding back in the minutes. If all you can do is 5 to 10 minutes a day right now, still report them and I will add them to your total. Every minute counts! If you want to report them for the week, that's fine too. So instead of coming in everyday and saying I did 5 minutes, you could just come and say I did 35 minutes this week. Just do what you can Stephie! We'll be rootin' for you all the way!!

I did Leslie Sansone Express 1 mile walk (got my orthotics today and testing them out). I also did Denise Austin 5 minute toners (did 3) - back, thighs, and waist. The moves I couldn't do...I modified. That's 30 minutes total for today.

Ok, must get off of here. It's storming and we have a tornado watch until 4:00 am. Ok, like I'm supposed to be able to sleep knowing this. Why was it 72 yesterday and supposed to be 48 tomorrow and rain and snow showers on Friday. Such psycho weather.

THanks Liz, I will do that, on my day seven, which is in three days, I will post how many minutes for the week. My hubby and I are going to take a walk on his days off the next three days and I will see how long I can go. I will shoot for 30 but should make at least fifteen or twenty and might just do the entire thirty, we will see !! I will try hard. The more days on the eating plan the better I feel.
I am very excited to be part of the challenge and look forwrard to upping my minutes as I go. I want to reach my goal or do better if at all possible !!!
I have lost a total of four pounds now, two on the 7th and two today the 8th. I am down to 242 now, so I am 12.5 from goal now !!!
