Lori, are you weighing everyday? You should really try to weigh only once a week I think...youll get a better reading that way...some days we are temporarily heavier than others...from exercizing, building muscle, retaining water, numerous reasons...and Ive found that if I weigh everyday...and see that it has gone up...Its real easy to get discouraged...so I have picked mon morning as my weigh in day...I also think having mon as my weigh in day makes me more accountable over the weekend. Just a suggestion (:

I weigh every morning because it keeps me on track for the day....otherwise I "forget".....but I don't post the weight daily, only weekly.....so even when I HAVE lost weight ,by the time I weigh for the week, it's back....so I'm not progressing!

I am very frustrated and getting more and more depressed and on top of that I don't feel like I am connecting with anyone here so I am thinking of leaving.

Lori, you're getting some good advice from Marie. About not yet "clicking" with anyone here -- just give it a little time. Challenges -- like this one -- are a good place to get to know people. Also, maybe spend some time in the newcomers forum, or responding to/asking questions in the main forum. Depending on what stage you're at (induction/OWL), those forums will help you "meet" people at a similar place.

People are friendly here, but it sometimes takes a while to "feel" at home and find a small group of folks you feel close with. Give it time -- it's worth the investment. This place has made ALL the difference for me.

I'm sorry to hear you aren't losing -- there could be many culprits -- or no good reason at all. A common problem for new folks is actually eating too FEW carbs and too FEW calories, believe it or not. There's a forum on the board to post your menu -- folks will look at it and let you know if they see anything that could be stalling you... might be worth a shot.

Best of luck -- stick with it!

                Wow...lots of activity today!

CONGRATS Suga on losing those pounds. I'm so proud of you for sticking with it even when you were discouraged. It's definitely paying off for you! YAY!!

Brian, it's great to hear from you. I'm glad you are feeling better and back on track after being sick. Congrats on breaking the 1,000 minute mark!

I am so impressed by how active everyone is. We are racking up the minutes!! I'm going to add it all up to see where we're at. I'm so proud of you guys! We're really doing this. lol

LORI! Adena and Jammie are right. Give it some time on the board. There are so many great people here it just takes time to find your place and feel at home. Have you started a journal? That's a great place to meet people and make friends. And it's a great way to vent all of your frustrations and share all of your accomplishments in one place. I know how frustrating it can be to be working SO hard and not see a loss or to see a gain. Just read through my journal and you'll see all my ups and downs! lol But Jammie's right, our weigh fluctuates for so many reasons. You've just got to stick to the plan, keep up with your exercise (which you're doing GREAT by the way!) and that scale will start to move. How are you feeling aside from the scale? Do you have more energy, sleeping better, less cravings? Maybe take a break from the scale like Suga did for a few weeks and focus on all of the other positive changes you experience with this WOE. We're all here for you and want to help. YOU CAN DO THIS!!

hi Marie..it's 7 pounds now, I just couldn't bring myself to change back the ticker....and I don't plan to...thanks for the ....I needed that....

Adena...I know what you're saying...I've told myself the same thing...in fact I was thinking about starting a journal in the journal chat forum...I feel so uncomfortable writing about ME ME ME....but maybe that's what I need to do....I could connect more if people knew more about me....

thank you liz...I HAVE been reading all your posts and journals...that's why I am still here.....of course you are right...I need to keep going because the alternative is unacceptable to me....I'm crying in my soup I guess( low carb soup) I am a very result driven person and this is driving me nuts...PLUS it's an emotionally charged thing too, as we all know....

I will work on feeling better in the morning...getting more exercise...that always helps me....

                    thanks everyone...
