  • Fired Up For Fitness - Century Club Challenge

    Hi all Century Club members!

    The Spring Into Action Challenge has ended and it was a huge success. Together we lost an amazing amount of weight and sweated through many minutes of exercise. Well, I am up for another challenge, how about you!?

    If you have 100 or more pounds to lose then you are a Century Club member and free to join this challenge. Here’s the challenge:

    The “Fired Up for Fitness” Challenge will be a combination weight-loss and exercise challenge. We will each set a weight-loss goal that we hope to meet by July 4th, 2008. We will also pledge to do a certain number of minutes of exercise during this time. You can choose to do any type of exercise but track your minutes of activity and report them here throughout the challenge.
    The challenge will begin on Monday, April 14th and end on Friday, July 4th. This gives us 82 days (12 weeks) to really shed some pounds!

    Here’s how the challenge will work:

    1) Sign up will be held from April 1-14.
    2) Give your current weight and your July 4th goal weight in your 1st post.
    3) Tell us how many minutes of exercise you will pledge to do during this challenge. We have 82 days (12 weeks) for this challenge so consider this when making your pledge. Challenge yourself.
    3) Check in here regularly to let us know how you are doing. Post your weigh-ins at least once a week. You can post your minutes of exercise daily or weekly.
    4) I will track everyone's progress as you post your successes.
    5) If you check in regularly and meet your weight-loss goal and minutes pledged for this challenge you will receive a special reward to post in your siggy at the end of the challenge.


    YAY! I'm really excited about this challenge! Doing these challenges really helps hold me accountable and I really need that accountability right now. I'm looking forward to getting fit with all of you!!

      I was thinking about weighing once a month, do I have to give weight once a week?

          Porcelain, I would like for everyone to check in at least once a week. As long as you stop by and let us know how you are doing and update your minutes weekly it won't be a problem to weigh-in monthly.

                  I'm IN!
                  But I was wondering, I have another exercise challenge, so I dont know if those minutes of workout count for the minutes here??? or is another kind of exercise? Im walking 2 miles a day in April, but I also want to do some pilates or another kind of exercise, I want to be doing 2 hours a day of exercise for 5 days a week.

                  Weight Goal: 260

                        Well Im in! I did gain 5 pounds since I last weighed in a few weeks ago, I just haven't been commited like I should so Im so glad you started another challenge right away! Im going to commit to 4000 minutes of workout time and I'm at 270 now and I want to be at 240 (-30 pounds) by the end of the challenge.

                          I'm so glad we are having this Challenge. It will really help motivate me.
                          I'm in for 4320 minutes and my goal is to be at 220. Thats a 45 lb loss.
